Which All Star Resort

I'd have to agree. I've stayed at AS Sports twice and each time I've gone there's been issues with our room. I thought Music was the best out of the 3, followed by Movies, then Sports. But like you said big drop-off between 2 and 3.

I have never stayed at Sports (1st time in January) - but it was the only resort avalaible during our stay. I have stayed at Movies and I LOVED IT!!! Music is nice as well. My rank would be..

Movies. Music.......................................................... Sports

Another vote for AS Music! Such a lovely feel at that resort! I've stayed there twice and both times have been a great experience. Never had a problem with the busses either! I've only shared a bus a few times during both trips - most times we had our own bus.

ive stayed at all star movies, and the POP century. I like the POP better by far. I like that it was large and always lively, but quiet once in the room. I also like that the furniture, dressers, bathroom/shower all seemed much newer and nicer at the POP, plus there is a large lake thats nice to walk around.

It seems that Music is the most popular of the 3 ASR. Why is this? from what i have seem they all look identical, expect for the obnoxiously large lettering and objects. I will be staying at the Sports soon, so i guess i will find out first hand.

We have only been to WDW twice, first time at Sports and 2nd at Music. By far we prefer Music.

We have 2 kids, 9 and 7 at our last visit in June of 08 and the kids loved the poolside activities they had.

From dance competitions, to limbo, to trivia and scavenger hunts, all for prizes from the gift shops.

Plus, each night they would put up a big screen and play Disney movies poolside. We actually lucked out and were there for the world premiere of Camp Rock! It was so much fun for the kids seeing it actually at Disney!!

I don't know if these are year round activities or just summer fun and games but we're planning on going back in May 09 and were definitely going to give Music another try!

I stayed at AS Movies last December, but barely spent any time on the property and never really got to take a look around. Heck, I don't even remember what section of the resort I stayed in.

The rooms were comfy, though. Music was great, but I'm sure it's undergone a few changes since my last stay (2001)

If it doesn't make any difference to you, stay at Sports. Its usually the last resort people choose, so it's last to fillup & its first on the bus route. More likely to get a seat going to the parks & first to get off if you have to stand.

I totally agree. We stayed at POP last month for the first time and I honestly don't know what others are talking about when they say they like it over all the other values....I think it just the same only more laid out. Yes, it has it own buses. My husband got to sit one time in the 5 days we were there, so it was either crowded (and we walked on most things at the parks) or they don't run enough buses. The room was exactly the same, size, shape, and the noise was the same ( we were in facing the hippy dippy pool, 3rd floor of the 60's building) as it is when we stay at Sports. I honestly thought POP was too big, so spread out. I walked all around the lake area and it is quite a walk. I pity the poor people who have rooms all the way back there! All things being the same, we'll stay at Sports again over POP or FW when we can afford to.

For what its worth - My hubby and I stay at Sports everytime. So far we haven't had too many problems with the rooms. The one time we did we called Security about the noise - filled out a survey when we got back and they are giving us a free night for our next stay. We didn't ask for it - we basically were just asking them to stop letting people chant in the pool til midnight. Yelling doesn't bother me - chanting the same phrase over and over does... sorry for the side bar.

I know Sports is the oldest - but it suits our needs and we never have problems with the buses.

POP we hated mostly because of the busses.

I've stayed at Pop and Movies; we'll be trying Music in 3 weeks.

While I like the bus situation at Pop, I'm not crazy about the rooms and some of the theming. Nevertheless, no matter where I have stayed on property, whether the Poly, POR or the All Stars/Pop, I've always had a fabulous time ... I'm in Disney! :)

We always seems to get by the "surf's up" pool so it can be noisy but we have never had a problem. I think the area by the baseball pool is really noisy compared to the surf's up pool. We like it there, we liked POP okay too, just would not choose there again if we can help it. Then again....if I want to go and POP is all that is left, well then there is no choice, I'll stay at POP!

I agree with the buses thing, we had an issue or two ourselves. Always crowded!

We stayed at 3 values...POP (awesome), ASSports (great resort but clientelle was not) and ASMusic (great staff but too many peoblems happened while there). Due to staying at ASMusic this past summer and having a negative experience there, we will not stay in another value again. We will go back to the mods or deluxes. ASMUsic was the only resort we ever had any real problems at. But... our trip was still awesome!

Sorry if I haven't helped much.

No Pop Century either? Pop is the only Value resort I haven't sworn off. I've had bad experiences at at AS's as well, but Pop is in a world of it's own compared to the other 3 Values.
