Jealous!!! I wish I could be going to Disney! I think it's going to be several years before I can get back. When are you going?I got back from my last trip two days ago, and I'm immediately planning our next trip. I already had plans laid out, but now we've had to tweak some things. Oh well... if there's a Disney trip to plan, I'm happy!

Why should I use self service ? I don't work for the supermarket. Is self checkout a common thing in Europe? I know in London, the supermarkets I went in to, didn't see a cashier.
Of the 5 supermarkets I sometimes go to, 3 have that option. Self checkout is only faster than the regular line if there is a lot of people. And usually, there is only one or two human cashiers for 500 people.
Main reason why I only went to Aldi a few times. Only one cashier and 4 self checkouts = chaos.
I don't consider Target and Walmart a supermarket so therefore they didn't get considered. Though Target employees in the mornings are good for not being at their registers and chatting with other workers.
Our supermarket here just remodelled a year or so ago to add in self checkout, but there is always at least one regular cashier, sometimes two if it's busy. And sometimes you get randomly selected to be checked to make sure you scanned everything right. But it does just depend on the store. Aldi doesn't have any self checkout machines here. But most of the stores that offer it only have one or 2 lanes with a cashier. I refuse to use the self checkout if I have a whole cart, or even if my basket is overflowing. And you are not allowed to split your groceries up in the self scan lanes. So like, if you are buying one thing for someone else, you can't pay for it separately, so then you have to go through a regular lane.Is self checkout a common thing in Europe? Beautiful but can be hit or miss tables are close together, bring flashlight to read menuFor those who are more in tune with Disney restaurants, if you could only choose one of these, which would you choose?
San Angel Inn (never been)
Via Napoli (we've eaten here before, but we unknowingly all had covid and think it may have affected our enjoyment)
Liberty Tree Tavern (never been)
These are three restaurants that we've thrown around for June, for just my dad and I. Just wondering what your opinions are.
