Also, I enjoyed the half time show more than most. It was on mute, while I was in another room washing the dishes. According to everyone on X, he mumbled and the words were unintelligible anyway.
No comment as to the commercials, as we don’t get the inventive, clever ones on the Canadian feed. I’ll have to check them out tomorrow on YouTube.

But seriously, football is way to showboaty for me. There's confidence and then there is way too much confidence. Not to mention the odd dances they do when scoring a touchdown or just tackling someone.

There is a famous quote from legendary University of Texas head football coach Darrell Royal…he hated the celebration that was just starting to rear its ugly head towards the end of his coaching career…he said “When you get to the end zone, act like you’ve been there before.”
It’s worse than Steve Martin in “The Jerk” with his new phone book… “I scored, I made a tackle, I ran 2 yards, I broke up a pass…I’ve never done anything like that before, except 2,458 times, since I was 5…!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, I may call my youngest bro later, and see if he has a pic from their wedding, when I was a groomsman, as it was more pronounced years earlier.
I wore a black tux and classic black Ray-Ban Wayfarers in a few of their wedding pics…!!!
The commercials haven't been good for years, and this year was even worse than normal. It's pretty much become, "pay (insert celebrity here) to come read a script that's not funny or memorable, rather than using actual creativity".

I agree. The Doritos and Budweiser commercials used to be the best but now everything is just meh. The most clever commercial, in my opinion was the Hellmann's with the When Harry Met Sally retake, but it was spoiled days before the Super Bowl so it was just "eh" on the day of the actual Super Bowl. The Dunkin one was okay this year. I must admit I didn't watch all of the game/commercials, it was on but I was mostly listening to different Disney podcasts while the game was on.

Better than the Chiefs, although I'm not really against them either. Enjoy your team's victory!
My favorite was the Lilo & Stitch one before the game even began. The one with the old ladies driving the car was okay. I believe that was for WeatherTech. They showed a stat saying a 30 second commercial costs $8 million. Do these companies really make that money back from the commercials? Do people really go and seek out WeatherTech products because of it?

Congrats to Carolyn! That's awesome! And those are the BEST three types of GS cookies. Those are the ones I always buy, too. DD LOVES Caramel Delights/Samoas (I don't understand why they have different names depending on where they are sold). Those are her favorites. I can't decide between these three. When Megan and Sarah first started selling them, they were $2.50 a box…they’re now $6.00…!!!!!
We weren’t deterred.
Sarah bought 3 boxes (now some are in bags), and we bought a mixed case, 3 of which we had already dropped off to Emmy and Audrey…!!!!!

Glad to hear her physical scars are next to nothing, but, yes, I’m sure the emotional scarring from an attack/crime like that will always linger.
If there is any good that comes out of this, it’s that I’m sure she’ll be much more aware and cautious in the future.
As an old Vietnam Vet neighbor of ours used to say “It’s not paranoia, it’s heightened awareness.”…!!!

I also despise any fans in any city using their favorite team as an excuse to do anything like you referenced.
I'm in the suburbs...1 hour and 50 minutes from the city.
