Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Is yours not COVID? Apparently cases are on the rise here, but no one is testing anymore...not sure how they know cases are on the rise if no one is testing, but that's what they are saying anyway.

Hope you feel better soon!! And your brother's family, too.

Edit: We were posting at the same time. Glad it's not covid, but some of those bugs can really knock you for a loop. I just had my flu shot on Tuesday night after work. If I DO get sick, I hope it's not too bad.
On the rise here too - they can tell from wastewater testing.

Spenser and I got our flu shots and COVID booster on Hallowe’en, so it probably is just a cold. Almost all illness enters this house via Ski. Spenser wears a mask and gloves everywhere, so he’s never Patient Zero.

We’re only testing because the gov’t provided millions of free test kits. They expire in early 2024, so there’s no point in rationing them.

I am no longer sick-sick, but I still feel like trash. All of us actually. It took every ounce of energy I had to clean the bathroom last night.

Could be worse, my brother and his family all have COVID. He’s REALLY sick. 🙁
That's lousey, and hoping all will be better very soon. At least you managed to get in your Canadian Thanksgiving ahead of all that, so that's good.

@MinnieM123 (and everyone else!) they unveiled the Macy’s Chirstmas Windows in NYC this week!

Thank you -- I LOVE this!!! 🥰🥰 There's nothing like the festive display windows at Macy's at Christmas time. I particularly enjoy the interactive parts, such as pressing a button and seeing what else they unveil -- like, presents floating down from the sky in the background, etc. What fun for the people at street level!

Do you know if any other large stores have big window displays anymore? I used to really like Lord & Taylor (gone a few years ago), and a few others that I can't recall at the moment. Just wondering: is Macy's is the last one left?

I believe Bloomingdales still does it - not sure about others.

Good news -- both Bloomingdales and Saks will also continue their tradition of holiday window displays! (Saks will unveil theirs on the 20th, but Bloomies was earlier, like Macy's.)

I can't speak for anyone else but I'm already maxed out on the Christmas stuff and particularly the background music. Back around 1972 I managed a Ben Franklin Variety Store and we didn't start anything, including Christmas items (ordered in June and July) until December when started the music and by the time Christmas was over we were all about to burn every Christmas tape that existed. As sweet as "Little Drummer Boy" is, it is surprising how quickly it sours when you hear it over and over again.

On top of everything else my wife's mother passed away just 6 days after we had her mom and dad over for Thanksgiving dinner. We were notified while watching, Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer, and had to drive up into Canada in a blizzard to help her father deal. It wasn't an unexpected outcome as she had bone marrow cancer, but the timing wasn't expected. What a warm fuzzy Christmas that was.

“Little Drummer Boy” is one of the few “traditional” Christmas songs I don’t care for.

I dislike a lot of the new stuff as well, especially anything by Mariah Carey. First note of “I-I-I Don’t Want a Lot for Christmas”, and my finger flies to the off button. NOPE!

That's a fun new song you selected for @Goofyernmost -- better than the one I had picked out for him, below. (Unless, deep down, he's a Renaissance Christmas music fan.) ;)

One of my favorite holiday songs --

Actually, I am a fan. Comes from two things. One being that I used to sing in the church choir with my Dad and Two.. My daughter was a Madrigal singer in High School. Heard a lot of that stuff. It is tough to dance to though.

To me the worst Christmas song is "Little Drummer Boy", I'm not to fond of "Twelve Days of Christmas" or "Do You Hear What I Hear" either but I can sit through them but Drummer is an automatic nope.
I do really like Mariah's All I Want for Christmas, it is bee-boppin'!
