I still haven't seen the kids who live on our street (we're on a cul-de-sac)
Holy moley, I think there was a Halloween function at the school.on the next street and it must've just finished and all of the families have now descended on my block. 
I did just have a lovely interaction with a young lady (middle.school) who was simply dressed all.in black and had even younger children with her (maybe her siblings). I have to.mention now that I wear my pointy witch hat while handing out treats. So this young lady says, "I'm a witch, too" and I replied "you're a much prettier witch than I am" and she responded, "we're both beautiful".
Whoever's raising and teaching that girl.is doing a fine job. ❤

Turned out we did have a few flurries here after all.
I got my flu and COVID shots at 5:00, and knew I wasn’t going to be in the mood. I turned on the verandah light and set out the bowl on the front steps. Have at it.
I barely heard the kids … maybe three or four groups. Daisy didn’t bark even once. There must have been more, because when I shut off the light and retrieved the bowl at 8:30, it was about 2/3 empty.
Now we can begin in earnest the only Season that matters!

Yup - weeks ago!
I’m holding off on outdoor decorations for another two weeks - not because I think Veterans are offended, but because I’ve already been raked over the coals about my indoor Christmas tree being up before Remembrance Day.
How clever of you Canadians to have Thanksgiving before Halloween!!

Hope you're arm feels better asap. We all did covid shot a couple of weeks ago and the boys did their flu shots as well, none of us had any issues. DH and I did our flu shots Friday and dh got his shingles shot. Me no issue except for falling asleep for a couple of days as usual, dh got hit when we got home from the farm market Saturday and was down for about 36 hours, same as his first shingles shot. We're all caught up on everything until next year.

We had 63 kids trick or treating here last night.
(That was way more than in past years.) Hubs gave out the candy and chatted with all the parents -- he's very social.

Hallowe’en is not my jam - not even when I was a kid. Others are really into it, so I’m glad they enjoy it. It’s one of those “no skin off my nose” situations.
Like Comic-Con … I don’t get the dressing up and the LARP’ing, but it doesn’t hurt me, and it doesn’t hurt them, and it’s the only place that Howard and Raj can score, so have at it!

I'm not a Halloween person, either. It was never big in my house growing up. I do enjoy the fun, homemade costumes that kids wear, though. The generic super hero costumes are the worst. Nothing against them, but there's no creativity.
