My dad and I went up to Green Bay today for Packers training camp. It's a tradition for kids to bring their bikes to Lambeau Field and have the players ride them to practice. The kids walk/run along side them as they hold the player's helmet, gloves, etc. We got there right in time to see Jordan Love (the Packers' new starting quarterback) ride a boy's bike down the street.
Then we walked to practice and watched it for a little over an hour. We left practice early in order to beat the crowds to lunch. We ate at the Green Bay Distillery. We had pretzel cheese curds as an appetizer, and they were fantastic. They came with a beer cheese dip. For our entrees, we both got burgers. They were also good.
After lunch, we walked an picked up the tickets we had purchased for a tour of Lambeau Field and the Packers Hall of Fame. We had some time before the tour, so we went back out and watched players ride their bikes back to the stadium from the practice facility.
Then it was time for our tour. We went up into several club level lounges and seats, walked through the media tunnel, and eventually walked out the tunnel by the Packers' locker room and onto the field.
After the tour, we went through the Packers Hall of Fame. They had some cool memorabilia like game-worn/used equipment, old ticket stubs from Super Bowls, old Packers artifacts, etc. The Hall of Fame concluded with the trophy room. There were 13 world trophies for the world championship the Packers have won, which is the most championships out of any team in NFL history. Four of which are Super Bowl trophies. The rest came from before the Super Bowl era.
I don't have tons of pictures, and unfortunately no food pictures, but I'll post a few in a minute.
