We ran thru the airport like crazy people....but it seems like we will actually make it to Copenhagen Denmark tonight🙃😲😉
There are 5 terminals. We came in on Terminal 2 and had a long walk to a shuttle bus. That bus took us to Terminal 5. Then we did security and had to take an elevator down to a Heathrow subway train which took people to Gate B...and eventually to "C Gates" that were up an escalator. I heard this is the world's busiest airport.

I’m sorry for the airline troubles you are having but I’m really glad that you should finally make it to your destination. I’m glad you had a few days built in before your cruise so you didn’t miss it. I hope you and your wife can relax and have fun now. I wish you smooth sailings and when you do have to return home a very uneventful flight back.

My family connected in UK London Heathrow . It was the worst experience for them, lots of walking to get to so needed locations , elevators , buses etc like you mentioned. Our airports in the USA where we have been are much more laid out more efficiently and with better quicker transport. Heathrow should take some notes.
In regards to food, the one item is why is MCO in Orlando have such terrible boring food options? I sometimes fly into EWR ( Newark ) and the food options are very diverse and delish. Essa bagels in the new $1B Terminal A has some of the best bagels in my life. MCO has Chili's and Romanos Italian Grill which are laughable .

Funny how I found Philly international much worse than lgw or Heathrow.

Of the ones in the list that I have flown out of Atlanta has always been a hot mess. I refuse to fly with any connection through that city anymore.

Dallas I was delayed because of storms once, the other time through was just fine.

Denver has always been a good experience. Although I won’t do a connection through there in winter just in case it closes because of snow (which is ironic because my home airport is Minneapolis/St Paul which is snowy area).

Chicago has been really good. I was delayed once flying out of there, but the city had freezing rain. The airport itself was fine and there is a Garrett’s popcorn in the terminals.

LAX the only problem is the traffic getting to the terminals. After Thanksgiving one year we had to walk about a mile to the airport from the freeway because traffic was gridlocked, even the side streets. But inside the airport it is all nicely remodeled with good food options. I try to use SNA though to avoid the traffic of LAX.

Most recently flew out of CDG and the traffic going into it was a little like LAX. But once inside had a very efficient security system and the food had a lot of good options. Laduree macarons and a French chain, Paul, that had some tasty croissants.

Didn’t get to experience Heathrow. When we flew out of London it was cheaper to fly out of Gatwick. That airport was fine too.

My worse flight was from Miami to Philly. We sat on the tarmac for 3 hours waiting for storms to leave Philly. Then we had excitement on the plane when a lady came back from the restroom and the entire crew surrounded her. Apparently she was smoking in the bathroom and they were waiting for her when she returned to her seat. They individually and as a group commenced to seriously scream at her and tell her that she was banned from any future flights with this airline (I honestly don't remember what airline it was). She started to cry and asked them how she was supposed to get home with her family to Chicago. They directly said that they didn't know and didn't care. That was her problem. It appeared that there were about 6 people with her group and as soon as the plane landed they all headed out to find another flight. I don't know how it ended because the delay in Miami made it so it was a mad dash to make our connection.

I've only ever flown once. I was in sixth grade, and it's the only time we've ever flown to Disney. We flew out of Milwaukee and into MCO. I barely remember any of it.

My second flight will be in September. I'm flying to Vegas for my brother's bachelor party. I'll fly out of Rockford, IL, so it's a small airport.

My dad and I have also vowed to never drive to/from Florida again. But we also did that last year. I think I might be serious this year.

My next door teacher friend helped me with another job that's been put on the backburner for the past couple years. She helped me hang LED lights around my whiteboards in the front of the room. I had a short string of lights on top of the boards, but a couple years ago I bought a longer one that would go around the entire row of two whiteboards plus one Smart Board. The past couple years the task of hanging them just got put on the backburner because other things took priority when getting ready for the year. So since I've been helping her in her classroom, my neighbor told me to find things for her to help me with. So last week was the bulletin board, and this week was the lights. Two jobs that I've wanted to do the past couple years, but never got around to.

We got a good night's sleep and will begin tourism today. My 9:30am I think is your 2:30am. Yet you'll see this post when you check the thread later. I will post a photo on my independent thread.
Enjoy the sights and the food and drink! If you plan to visit the same area again may I suggest you take a non stop from JFK to Copenhagen on SAS instead of Philly -Toronto , Toronto - London , London - Copenhagen
