If you think the site needs modifying or improving in any way I would suggest messaging @wdwmagic direct rather than running down the forum .
wdwmagic administration made the change (I am sure) to encourage non members to register here. That was their (understandable) decision and I do not need contact them or inform them of what they already know. Naturally a private message from me would not cause them to revert back to what they had previously. Yet...I still have positive thoughts about wdwmagic in general and especially the people I post with.
It was my purpose to inform my forum friends here of a change that they might not have been aware of. It was not my purpose to run down the forum.
This is the 2nd time I've disappointed you. Very sorry it has worked out that way. :(

No disappointment. Just letting you know how your post read to me.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I mean signing up to the forum isn’t difficult, but I’ve always appreciated the ability to send family and friends a link to my trip reports so that they could follow along at home in real time.

Sounds like they still can, but will not see the full pics. (Until I can talk Bestie into a return trip to DL, I have no exciting adventures planned anytime soon anyway.)

Oh well. I’m sure it’s tied to ad revenue. I support the site with my premium membership, so I don’t see the ads.

I'll still post the same number of photos as before I discovered this. Nothing will change. All of you are members and you will see the large photos as per usual. I will probably wait until I am back home before I select my favorite photos and then I might create a more brief thread on the other forum...so I can share it on the Denmark and Norway TripAdvisor forums....but you guys are my first priority!😉

I'm sure everyone is already aware and has taken off work for it, but the Sharknado series is currently airing on SyFy.
You and I have discussed that we are both teaching 3 weeks this summer for our respective school districts. At our summer session today, two of the students I taught this recent school year were amazed how casual I dress for Summer instruction as compared to traditional school. This is me at home...but this is also what I wore when the kids were amazed by the casualness...LOL..I wore sneakers earlier. Sneakers are banned in my house though!😁IMG-20230718-WA0000.jpg

During the school year I wear a polo, shorts, and tennis shoes when it's warm. If I'm not wearing a polo, it's a tshirt with our school name on it. When it's cold, I'll wear jeans and a quarter-zip type top.

During summer school I wear shorts and a tshirt, but the shirt might not be school related. So I guess more casual, but not that much.

At the PLC Institute last week, some of us realized how laid back our school is compared to many. Some schools were saying their teams have been meeting and planning over the summer, and nobody does that at ours. We just wait until we go back.

During the regular school year I always wear long pants. The only men who wear shorts are PE teachers. 95% of the time i wear a button down shirt. Maybe two or three times a month I will wear a tie so I don't get bored with my usual look. Remind me when your 3 weeks begin. This Monday?

I have a predicament. I live 35 minutes/miles from where I teach. Summer school goes until 11:15. I have a meeting tomorrow at 5pm at school. I can choose to stay and work in my room for almost 6 hours, or drive back and forth again. Neither is ideal, but I'm leaning towards driving back home and going back up. I don't know what to do for 6 hours at school.

Great to be back...correct?
It's nice to be around kids again. It's just a different type of energy that you can't find anywhere else. It's so cool that I get to be such a big part of kids' lives. There is no other profession that offer the same type of relationships you can build with students. I honestly can't imagine doing anything else.

And summer school is so informal. Today I got paid to play Uno with a group of boys, draw with sidewalk chalk, and draw a penguin wearing swim trunks. How cool is that?
