Love NYC! We haven’t been since before the pandemic. I’m glad you had a great trip.

Thank you for your prayers. The funeral was today. Everything went as well as could be expected.

I miss being able to walk a block and a half and catch the bus into the city

I miss Shea It was the first major league park I ever went to

I don't actually miss Shea Stadium. Went there maybe twice, and I was scared to death. I think I went to county fairs that had more substantial seating areas. Edit: I haven't been to Citi Field yet. Would like to go.

If we're talking Yankee Stadium, I miss the old ones. Both of them. They can just trash the newest version.

CitiField? I have been to each and every place pictured.

It was amazing!! I think we got spoiled, we had no issues whatsoever.

Wish I could have visited Shea back in the day!

Did you get to or know about the markings in the parking lot for Citi Park that define where Shea stadium was previous located? The bases and more importantly the exact location of the stage where the Beatles had their first stadium concert back in the 60's.

We are delaying our departure because there are storms in northern Florida we are trying to avoid.

Last night we went to Epcot and rode Spaceship Earth and Nemo. Then we did Turtle Talk, Ratatouille and Frozen. We then monorailed over to Magic Kingdom. We watched fireworks, then got ice cream at Auntie Gravity's to end the trip.

So now it's all over.

I averaged just under 25,000 steps a day down here.

Did you get to or know about the markings in the parking lot for Citi Park that define where Shea stadium was previous located? The bases and more importantly the exact location of the stage where the Beatles had their first stadium concert back in the 60's.

There's something about the new parks I'm not fond of.

We backed out of the parking lot at 9:31. I drove the first few hours, including thru a big rain storm. We are getting close to Georgia now.

I don't like being out of the bubble. Leaving the room was pretty sad.

For lack of a better term, I find them a bit heartless. More corporate cookie cutter. Old stadiums just had a better feel to them. But it seems every sport nowadays is more business than anything (transfer portals,NLI, business names on stadiums, etc).

They ruined Soldier Field back in 2002 when they landed the spaceship on top.
