I can't remember if I shared the final stats on the license plate game or not. So I apologize if I've already said this.

I finished with 42/50 states, plus 3 provinces (Ontario, Quebec, Alberta).

The states I did not we were... Alaska, Connecticut, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Here are some overall thoughts from my trip.
  • Gran Destino Tower - The tower is amazing. It's like a deluxe resort, for a more moderate price. It felt much more luxurious than what I'm used to. I don't think it's as child-friendly as other resorts, but I saw plenty of families there. The view we had from our room was amazing, and the size of the room was great. The only downside is I don't think the grounds are as nice as some of the other moderate resorts, but I loved the little grassy plaza area on the backside of the tower. Also, the nachos were delicious at the market.
  • Animal Kingdom - The entire right side of Animal Kingdom is pretty sad. Outside of Everest, there's really nothing worthwhile. Dinosaur used to be a good ride, but almost every major effect was broken at some point during our trip. There were dinosaurs that were not moving at all and had their eyes closed. I don't even need to mention the rest of Dinoland. Back in 2019, Animal Kingdom was a highlight of my trip because of the addition of Pandora. But now that the newness of that has worn off, it's very clear that AK is a neglected park. It closed nightly at 7pm, and many of the attractions and restaurants closed even earlier. It's hard to find a quick service that's open after 4:30. It almost felt like a park that is about to go out of business.
  • Hollywood Studios After Hours - This event was 100% worth it in my opinion. We got every major attraction done except for Smuggler's Run, but that was by choice. We rode Rise and Tower of Terror twice, too. And since you can get in the park at 7pm (the event doesn't start until 10pm), you can do smaller attractions like Star Tours and Muppet Vision before the event actually begins. We also were able to watch Fantasmic before the event, too. The crowds were low, and the only ride that wasn't a walk on was Slinky. If the stage shows aren't for you, then this is the way to go. I'd rather do that than spend money on a regular day ticket, especially since it's so hard to get much done with the insane wait times at DHS.
  • Cast Members - The majority of CMs were fantastic, helpful, and nice. However, there were a few that were just mean. I mentioned the one at guest relations at Hollywood Studios who didn't seem to care that we couldn't use the Genie+ we paid for because of multiple ride breakdowns. And another day, we were evacuated off of Toy Story Mania. Most of our group has just sat down on the ride, but hadn't gone past the loading bay yet. However, one of our group members had already started the ride. The CMs had those of us who weren't on the ride go to the other side to ride there, but didn't seem to care that they were splitting up our group. They never said where we would meet up, or what would happen with her. When we asked, they pretty much just said she'll be fine and provided no details. Not to mention, she is needing a knee replacement and needed a scooter to get around. The CMs didn't seem too concerned about that, either. But as a whole, there were so many kind CMs. Just a few bad apples.

Those are a few of my immediate thoughts. I'm sure I have more that I remember later, so if I do, I'll post them.

You need to take another road trip, so that you can find the other 8 states! :p

Your comments about AK were sad. I've always loved that park, but it certainly seems like they're not putting enough effort into keeping up many of the attractions. And practically no QS open after 4:30 pm? Good grief.

I feel like they tried to make it a whole day park with Pandora and the nighttime show. But after the show bombed, there was really nothing there to keep people in the parks.

We practically did the whole park between 3 and 7pm.

Hollywood Studios has definitely become a much better park over the past handful of years. But they still have a problem with ride capacity. All of the lines are extremely long, and there aren't many rides that are quick to load and unload.

I wish they would have built the Runaway Railway in the animation courtyard area and kept The Great Movie Ride. Mickey and Minnie fit the animation theme so well. Although I'm not even sure if it's called the Anitmation Courtyard anymore. There's really nothing about animation in the area. We literally haven't stepped foot in that part of the park in years.

I've been without internet since 3pm. I was going over the my parent's house anyway, so not that big of deal. I looked up if there was an outage, and it said the estimated time it will be back up was 3:30am. Again, not a big deal since I'll be sleeping. Now it says the estimated time is 6:00pm tomorrow. 😠

It's always a full day park for me, too. I love it there.

But what I do is 2 half-days, ONLY because of the HEAT and humidity in that park -- with all the extra foliage. So for 2 mornings, I'll go for opening and leave sometime after noon. (That equals 1 full day, but just split up due to weather conditions.) 🦓🐑🦋🦁 🥰
