Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

I read that the coronation crown weighs almost 5 lbs. (Camilla’s - less than half.) That’s a lot of weight for 3/4 century old necks to support for an extended period.

The Canadian commentators I watched drew attention to the fact that neither Charles nor Camilla were able to tilt their heads to watch the red (looked pink to me), white, and blue jet smoke, lest the crowns be jostled.

Charles’ crown is reputed to be worth between £3 BILLION and £5 BILLION! (Camilla’s coronation crown is worth a mere £400 by comparison.)

There’s more than one reason for the saying “heavy is the head that wears the crown”.
Never heard that saying before... must be Canadian, eh!

In regards to the forward seating twitch, it was happening well before he received the crown.

It’s Shakespeare. More or less.

That explains it then, I was waiting for the Shakespeare stuff to come out in comic book form. 🥴
For some unknown reason they never showed up in that pure form that I can recall.

This morning the PTA treated the teachers to breakfast...View attachment 715107View attachment 715108
We had a PD day today, but the staff got ice cream. Tomorrow our PTC (equivalent of a PTA/PTO) is getting us breakfast. Wednesday our district is getting us lunch (cold cut sandwiches). On Thursday the PTC is getting us lunch (BBQ from a local restaurant). And Friday our district is getting us ice cream.

This week is never good for the calorie intake.

Your last sentence maybe calls for a 😂 .............but I ❤️ how your school district is showing their appreciation!

Our school district gave us all a gift card for a local business of our choice. A mom dropped off some mini-cupcakes and mini-muffins for our middle school staff today. I don't know if anything else is planned but if anything else comes our way that is appreciated if not that is fine too.

Our district sent out an email to families with a way to send e-cards to staff. I got one from four students.

I have 15 other students I'm expecting big gifts from yet.

Side note only -- I recall (over here) some years ago, there was a political thing going on; and protestors were given a specific area to express their points of view. They didn't prefer the location, but it was a compromise. (May or may not work over there, but just a thought.)
They said here on the news that the protesters who were arrested had actually been in contact with police about the protest and had permission so the fact that they were arrested was a violation. They didn't do anything that was against the law, but the police arrested them to basically silence them. They said they thought they were going to try to kidnap the royals or something because they had zip ties, but the zip ties were to secure their signs and the protesters said they had talked to police beforehand. Who knows what the truth is.
