Freezing rain really sucks!! I hope it's not too bad and that you can stay inside! I love snow, but the cold and ice are not fun!

There are already 100 school closings in the area for tomorrow. Lots of ice farther south, lots of ice farther north. Potential for power outages with the ice on power lines in our area. Roads may be impassable.
What’s your weather like? Pretty gross here. Just waiting for the Ski to get home from work, and then I can take a big sigh of relief.I'm done with conferences for the year! Well, I had one reschedule because the weather is affecting her internet today, but I'm still considering myself done. Woo! I absolutely hate conferences. And I'm not sure why... they usually go well.
We've had freezing rain pretty consistently today. I haven't left my apartment today, so I don't know exactly what it's like. I've heard the roads are ice covered, though. Madison Public Schools already cancelled for tomorrow, and they never close. They're 70 miles away, but still. What’s your weather like? Pretty gross here. Glad he's home. Also glad there's no fire in your house and Mike didn't recess heck. The freezing rain is coming down so hard that it sounds like a crackling fire. I thought Mike had started a fire in the fireplace without telling me, and went down to give him heck.
Ski is home.
If the hydro (power to you) goes out, the electric blower on the furnace doesn’t work, and we’ll need to get a fire going in the fireplace for sure.Glad he's home. Also glad there's no fire in your house and Mike didn't recess heck.
Not much difference, I guess, but you don't hear freezing rain. It never freezes until it hits the ground. Sleet or hail you can hear. The freezing rain is coming down so hard that it sounds like a crackling fire. Must be freezing as it hits the window. Not much difference, I guess, but you don't hear freezing rain. It never freezes until it hits the ground. Sleet or hail you can hear.
It's the extra hours on top of everything else. And this year conferences fell right during a whole bunch of other events. The past two weeks have been super busy, but next week goes back to a little bit of normalcy.I have conferences next week so I'm jealous of you being done with them. I dread them too and they usually go well.

We have all the parents come. But it's a little different with the different ages we teach. With the first principal I had (I'm on my third), we had to contact parents who didn't sign up or were no-shows in several different ways and document when and how we contacted them. Now I don't contact them at all if they didn't sign up. We have sign ups through our parent communication app, ClassTag, and teachers can see who has viewed the post. All 19 families viewed mine. Three didn't sign up. I'm not reaching out to you. I've gotten to the point where I'm done enabling parents.Extra hours and usually the parent come that don't really have to because their kids are doing great. Or I get the parents that have a melt down about everything in their life and use me as a therapy session, so it is a lot of social interaction I don't really want.
Hope he heals up quickly and y'all stay safe. The snow/ice combo is so hard and crunchy that Mike has broken two shovels today. He’s also hurt his back … which he can’t just replace at Canadian Tire.
