Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

It was a “yellow” year for us.
We are right in the middle of fall colors here and they are actually as spectacular as I have ever seen them. All kinds of bright red, yellow, beautiful orange ones, deep purple and, of course, all mingled with the green southern pines. It is as pretty as any I have seen in Vermont, but I might have just gotten numb to them over the years and didn't notice anymore. I'd take pictures but I always see them while I am driving and heavy traffic so stopping can get quite dangerous.

I'll post one from a few years ago just so it is more then just words, but instead a show and tell.

I spent almost 63 years up in the snow constantly areas of the country and a lot of that was driving a passenger bus in white out blizzards, freezing rain, fog and considerate other drivers that would not put their headlights on low beam. I got my license at 16 and never left that area until I was 63. I knew how to drive in snow and other adverse conditions, but I hated it. I hated the cold, the snow and everything else that is associated with winter. I can remember driving a full shuttle bus in the evening between Burlington, VT. and Montpelier, VT. Just a mere 34 miles, straining to see if I was still on the road, gripping the steering wheel so tight that my hands went numb (carpel tunnel surg. fixed that part). I'd look in my interior mirror and see heads bobbing up and down as the passengers were sleeping and my thinking what the hell is the matter with you folks. You see what's happening out there and you should be afraid, you should be very afraid. I know I was. Fortunately, I never said it out loud.
I could never have driving as part of my job for that reason. Halloween of 2019 we had a big snow storm, but no snow day. I think they thought it was too early to call a snow day. But there were inches of snow piled in the middle of the highway, and for about half the commute we were down to one lane due to construction. I slid on the road a couple times because I had to switch lanes. There were many families who were late to school because they were sliding through intersections. Some slid into other cars. It was not safe to come to school.

But then our lovely principal decided to have a fire drill that morning because he needed to get our October drill in.

Don't give @PUSH ideas! His students and his school district would have a meltdown if he left. He's popular and they need him there!!
Thank you for the compliment. I actually had a meeting with my principal today for our beginning of the year Educator Effectiveness meeting (it's a bogus program every teacher has to do to hold us "accountable" because we can't be trusted to do a good job on our own). She ended the meeting by complimenting me for about two minutes. She said how she appreciated my leadership and being a voice of reason in the school and all the things I do to help out. She said I'm one of them she looks at and views as a great teacher.

I'm not doing that to toot my own horn, but it's really the first time a principal has given me a heart-felt compliment. It's the first time I've felt appreciated by my principal, and that it wasn't a calculated act of kindness. I don't think teachers get that very often. Usually we just hear what we're doing wrong, so compliments are very appreciated!

I have all wheel drive, snow tires, and my new site sold out in 5 days … so I probably have the winter off. 🙂

Now I just have to worry every day about the Ski driving a huge welding truck with bald tires.
Wow! You are amazing with your realtor skills!!! Plus, I assume the economy must be doing well up there, to hear about this kind of news about high-priced purchases being gobbled up so quickly.

Yep going to get snow here too, 3-4 inches. Hopefully it will melt in a couple of days. Have fun at the Packer game and stay warm!
Down here we aren't supposed to get much. We're more worried about roads. But according to the National Weather Service, the biggest time for accumulation and travel impacts are from 11pm to 6am. We won't leave until about 9:30, so hopefully they'll have the roads cleared by then.

It’s the market. Not me.
Raised the prices $100K during the day. People still bought. 🤦🏻‍♀️

My kids are NEVER going to be able to move. Townhouses started at a mill. A mill! Up to $1.2.

We got some. It probably is about 1 1/2-2 inches on the ground. My dog and the dogs we are dog sitting came in covered with snow, they had some fun playing in it. I am staying inside today.
According to the maps, we look to be right on the cutoff of where the snow stopped. It looks like as we get on the road, 5 miles up the highway we will see around an inch of snow on the ground.
