Well, I really learned to bake when I moved here. I had to learn to make all the things I was craving like brownies, cupcakes, cheesecake, etc. I have quite the reputation now for desserts.

A character in one of my favourite book series is always eating TastyKake Butterscotch Krimpets, and for the longest time I thought it was a made up brand. Got to Googling one day, and whadda you know - totally real!



Nothing screams butterscotch about that though. I was expecting something more like our “Ah Caramel” cakes.
