I find it interesting that National Voter Registration Day is Sept. 22nd, because according to the County Clerk, my absentee ballot is supposed to arrive today. (the 18th) I thought the two would coincide.

Also, I want to celebrate pot pie day!! I miss pot pie!

The World: "Well 2020, I think you've given us every crazy headline possible. You went through em all."

2020: "I'm just warming up."

I turned my mail in ballot to the Election Administration today. So from now on I can just blank out on any political advertisement. Fake or not. The deed is done hopefully for a positive outcome, or at least part of one. Of course that will not stop the massive begging for donations to candidates to insure that they get elected. However, I think that at my age and degree of frugalness I can ignore most of them as well. I will still have a few that I would like to support, but not being a millionaire I'm not able to contribute in a sense of achieving any more than any noticeable reaction related to peeing in the ocean and looking to see if the depth increased.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

Vote early, vote often, I always say.

Actually, in spite of some wild decisions made by politicians in this state, (remember the bathroom fiasco) they have mailed out, unrequested mail in ballots to I think anyone over 65, or so, without our even asking and everyone has from now until election day to submit them by mail, in person at early voting facilities and in person to the Board of Elections. And man are they intense about it. And this from a state that has been caught gerrymandering more then once.

My ballot came too late in the day for me to have my husband print it before he came home from work, so it will have to wait until Monday.

I want to get mine done ASAP so it has time to make it through mail overseas even amidst a global pandemic and the issues with US mail right now. I want it to have plenty of time to make it by the deadline. I would have liked to have sent it in yesterday already, but alas, it wasn't meant to be.

You should be alright once it gets here. Leadership has gone to great lengths to make sure that postal workers are determined to get the ballots to the proper placed come hell or high water. They have their livelihood hanging on the outcome of this election. What really important to get across to the public is that Mail in Ballots and Absentee Ballots are exactly the same thing and handled in the same way. There is no difference. It appears that even those that have made a point of trying to convince people of the "danger" of mail in voting are using mail in voting.

I'm gonna vote in my polling place on election day.
I'll wear a mask. It'll be fine ;)
