Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

When is your driving test scheduled?
It's not scheduled yet. Long story short, I have to get a statement from my doctor saying that my diabetes will not make driving a problem for me. I gave the driving school the permission to set up the driving test, but then my instructor said I had to also fill in this health survey or they couldn't do it. So I filled out the survey, but then they denied my request for a driving test because of my diabetes. So I got my doctor to fill out the form and now I have to send it in and then I hear whether or not they will allow me to take the driving test.

O.k. So let me get this straight. You went through all kinds of studying and practicing for your license. Then you get to the point where you are ready for the final road test, and THEN they stop you, asking for a doctor's note? Why couldn't they have just asked in the beginning of student driver studying and practicing, if a student driver had any medical condition - that they'd need a doctor's note to continue and take the driver training? SO glad I got my license here in the States years ago.

Why would having diabetes hinder your driving ability? I suppose if it wasn't controlled you could pass out from low blood sugar but do they have the same rules for people with other conditions?

I don't know if I mentioned it, but my 18 year old granddaughter just got her license and because of Covid19 she didn't have to take a road test. Just the written one. I've ridden with her and she is quite a good driver, but, if I didn't know her I would be a little afraid of sharing the road with her.

Speaking of baseball, I know @PUSH is eager for the NFL season to kickoff soon, so perhaps he's behind his baseball team's win today. Beating their opponent by 2 TDs and nearly 2 FGs.

And in the hits category, they scored 3 TDs. 🤯
Two TDs, two extra points, a FG, and a safety!

Wow. I don't keep track of baseball, but even I know that's a lot of runs for a single game.

I'm bad at my football math. Anytime I think TD, I automatically assume they scored the extra point, and tack it along to it as if it's always a given.

I usually do, too. For some reason this time I added the extra points separately. Maybe because you could also get 19 points by scoring two TDs, two 2-point conversions, and a FG.

Just curious -- did she take a student driver training course (assuming teacher and student both had masks on during Covid). The reason I'm asking is because (at least up here), the Registry of Motor Vehicles inspectors (road test cops), tend to always favor the people who took a training course from a school (private or other). In other words, I'm wondering if she did, then maybe that's why they just automatically fast tracked her to getting the license (after passing the written test, of course).

Now, if the above was not applicable, I'm still a bit stunned that anyone could get a license without a road test. Maybe I'm just jealous! :p

Anyway, congratulations to her!
