The kid’s teacher is a big Star Wars fan. So today, she got to bring her Rey staff to zoom class to show her fellow classmates. She was very happy. lol.

I wore an orange-ish blouse (coral actually, but shows orange on camera), because orange is a good luck colour for Indians.

No, I'm pretty certain that gesture is from Star WARS.
It means: "Live long, and may the fourth be with you."

If I remember correctly, we see Spock flash that sign right after Darth Voldemort reveals that he's his father. I believe in Episode IV: The Empire Strikes The Two Towers.
