Another gorgeous day here! We went in seach of flowers to plant, but made a quick stop at the Coventry nest while we were out.
Mom was keeping watch when we arrived...
Soon a growing baby decided to sit up and join Mom...
We watched for a while but never saw a second eaglet, but I suspect there is another one.
On the way out of there the Swan family was out for a Sunday swim...
So all in all a good day (although no flowers).

I just saw something advertised on PBS. It's a show called Eagle Power and it's on NOVA. Thought of you right away. If interested, maybe check your local PBS station for when this airs -- I didn't catch that.

I will, thanks. W get all the Boston PBS stations(2 and 44, and their multiple subdivisions) anyway, as well as our local ones. Pretty much all we watch...

Not a fan of canned veggies at all. I've read that frozen veggies may have even more nutrition than "fresh" veggies you might buy in the grocery store -- unless the produce was just picked, and shipped from a nearby farm, for example.
but we do occasionally eat canned green beans during the winter (I don't like frozen green beans).I use canned corn in chilli because it gives some texture, but I would never eat it just as a side. Frozen is so much better!

If you missed the meteor shower the other week that we had, there's another opportunity to see one overnight Monday, in the early hours of Tuesday just before dawn. A good reason to camp outside that night if you're sick of being cooped-up indoors.
