We have bread.

Canned veg 4/$5. Limit of two cans per person. 🙄
The harvest was really bad last year, I’ve noticed that the shelf space allotted for canned veggies has really shrunk. We’re turning over all the garden beds here to grow our own. We had a large garden up in Wisconsin for a few years when we first moved up there, but we stopped when we started doing our own hay.

Other than corn and peas once (which is disgusting and I like peas), I don't recall having a lot of canned veggies.

I grew up on canned/frozen veggies. Wyoming ground isn't conducive to growing much, and by the time produce was shipped in, it wasn't great. Now I LOVE fresh veggies. I always loved my veggies, but they are so much better fresh than in a can.

All vegetables are better cooked from fresh or frozen compared to canned ... except corn. Corn is best from a can.

That being said, I eat a lot of canned French style green beans just because they’re easy. But peas from a can - not on your life! I grew up with an English mother and that’s how we ate them. 🤮

We eat a lot of black beans and kidney beans in chili but aside from that we also only eat corn from a can.

Italian sausage fried with some onions and fresh garlic. Then I added a can of spaghetti sauce but I added some garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt & black pepper and a couple dashes of red pepper. Mixed it with rotini noddles and some shredded mozzarella poured it into the baking dish. Then I placed spoonfuls of ricotta cheese into the mixture so there would be whole globs of ricotta when we spooned it out. I then made some garlic butter and mixed in panko bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese and sprinkled that on the top and then baked the whole thing for about 20-25 minutes at 375.
