Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

For the record, I’ve seen lots of movies.

About ten of them, a thousand times each.
At least you go to the theaters pretty frequently. I only go for Star Wars. And I went to see the latest Mission Impossible that my dad wanted to see. Aside from that, the last movie I went to see was a horror movie on Halloween... that must have been 2015. And then before that I think was 2012 or 2013 to see an X-Men/Logan movie that my friend wanted to see.

I saw Aladdin six times at the theatre last year.

Unfortunately, I only saw RoS three times. I had work and that last stupid exam mess up all of January.

Frozen 2 twice, Maleficent 2 once. What else did I see?

Yup. My third time was NYE day with @InnKpr and Mike, so I’m at zero too.

Spenser and I were supposed to see Knives Out, but our schedules never meshed.

Bummer, I LOVE going to the theatre.
I like it, too, but it's so expensive. I also like it more for movies I'm hyped for - like Star Wars.

I wonder when and if we'll ever be seeing movies at a theater like we once did...
I think theaters would be one of the last things to open up. Large crowds. Confined areas. Even if they limit capacity, are movie studios really going to want to put movies out when theaters are 50% full? Or would they rather wait until things are fully operational?

I think we're going to continue with the direct to home release trend for a while. But like anything else, once it becomes commonplace, will people ever go back to theaters. I'm afraid the regular theater experience might follow the path of drive-ins.

I used to take the boys (no Mike, he wrecked the car seating dynamic) to the drive-in at least twice week for four months, for at least five years. We saw A LOT of movies.

There are still a few of them nearby, but even that has gotten so expensive.

I love the drive-in. We have one left here that thankfully is very successful and packed all summer long. I think its around $10 per person. They still allow you to bring chairs and sit outside your vehicle. That helps to solve seating issues!
Spenser and I are a mosquito smorgasbord. We used to go through half a dozen bottles of Off Skintastic each year.
