OK - I caught up with 3 pages - could someone please post a summary of the rest?

Anyway...

I kill everything. Even plants that are supposed to be indestructible.

But orchids ... orchids I can grow.

Those are positively gorgeous. What amazes me is that orchids take a bit of work and you need to know what you're doing with them. Other plants are much easier, but it's amusing that you're good at the difficult ones and not so much with the easier ones?! ;)

I too have trmendously beautiful orchids. My secret? They apparently thrive on neglect. I discovered this years ago when we had been away for the winter. I had an orchid that the kids had given me for Mother's Day. It had bloomed throughout the summer, but by the time we left for FL it was done, I cut the bloom stem off but since the leaves were still green, I couldn't throw it out. So there it stayed on top of the microwave. When we returned in March, I stepped into the kitchen and to my surprise it was in full bloom again, and absolutely gorgeous. That was several years ago, and that plant still blooms every year, and is now joined by a few others. I'll post a picture of it once my phone charges.

And I’m not sure what this one is called but when it was given to me, I was told that you can’t kill this plant. 10 plus years later, it’s surprisingly still alive. I cut it way back at the beginning of March because it hadn’t been watered at all while we were gone in January and February so the leaves were all dried up and I thought it was dead for sure. Now this is how it has come back on its own.

I think it’s a dieffenbachia.

I bought them at the Disney Outlet - couldn't resist them for the price, so we bought a set for DS and DD also. Problem was that we flew to Orlando that time, so we had to buy a new suitcase to get the things home. :joyfull:

Here's a better picture of the 2 sets:

I just noticed how crooked the set on the right is hanging - better fix that before JenniferS sees it...:hilarious:
