So if I had one day only which would I opt for.....MK or Epcot?
Magic Kingdom.
The castle has to be the background for the photos my wife would post on Facebook.
...............and, there are so many rides that are enjoyable!
My understanding is you could choose any of the parks...doesn't necessarily have to be MK or Epcot.

My order as the parks stand right now:

  1. MK (so much more to do than any of the other parks, plus some of my favorite rides and QS locations)
  2. AK (Pandora)
  3. Epcot (last time we went it was lacking something, and I didn't like the changes to Soarin or Maelstrom as much as the original)
  4. DHS

We'll have to see where Epcot and DHS rank after their redos. My guess is SW:GE will be awesome, but the park will still feel disjointed. There's not one cohesive theme, even with the new additions. And the park layout is pretty bad. Them parks should have a "looping" layout to make it easier to get places. Epcot I am hoping will flip the script. The thing I'm most excited for is the entrance redo. More than anything else that's coming.

Of course. ;)
It's like if someone said if you had to choose between vanilla and chocolate ice cream.
There are other flavors available but the question about choosing between chocolate or vanilla is a fun question anyway :)

AJ on DFB posed this question - You only have one day, one park. Which one?

These are the conversations we have ....

Me: So, what’s your answer?
Mike: AK
(His favourite ride/least favourite park, so I’m not sure if he’s serious.)
Me: No, really?
Mike: I don’t care. I’m only here for the food.
Me: Never mind. Guess mine.
Mike: Don’t know.
Me: It’s easy. It’s got 5, no 6 of my favourite rides.
Mike: Dunno. You lost me at 5.
Me: (visibly rolling my eyes) MK! It’s got Pirates, Splash, Space Mountain, Carousel of Progress, TTA, and Small World.
Me: It’s also got Peter Pan, and Swiss Family Treehouse.
Mike: Ariel is better than almost all of those rides.

Told ya. Told ya he likes the Ariel ride. I’m not proud. He also likes HM, so there is that, I guess.

I’d go with MK as long as it’s not too crowded. If it’s super crowded I’d pick Epcot.

Ah, sorry. I thought you had read the question as having to choose only between Epcot and MK. So I just wanted you to know it didn't HAVE to be those two. For myself, those would be the top two, and AK wouldn't even be on the list. I could cheerfully just go to MK and Epcot for every trip and be perfectly happy, not feeling like I missed anything. (except maybe Prime Time 50s at HS) But I know some people LOVE AK, etc. We're only going to AK this summer to check out Pandora, and because my brother thinks his daughter is going to love that park more than any of the others. But they are only at Disney for a week, and then we don't plan on going back to AK once they are gone.
