Not seeing much attention to this crisis:
U.S. plush toilet paper use wiping out Canada's forests, flushing away the future
The report gave failing grades to the leading toilet paper, tissue and paper towel brands for using only virgin fibre pulp, mostly from Canada’s old boreal forests.
The voracious use of toilet paper in the United States — with the average American using almost three rolls each week and major manufacturers spurning alternative fibres — is destroying Canada’s forests and causing widespread environmental damage, two international environmental groups say.
The report hammered the three biggest tissue producers in the U.S. — Procter & Gamble, Georgia-Pacific, and Kimberly-Clark — over their big, recognizable brands such as Charmin, Cottonelle, Brawny, Bounty, Kleenex, Angel Soft, Quilted Northern and Viva.
There are a few brands of TP I refuse to buy because their commercials are just so stupid.

Nah, it was on my news widget.

We’ve got a big political crisis up here, “wiping” out all other news stories right now.
Now I see what was going on, but, for the moment we have a whole lot of people so full of crap that they absolutely need to use that much TP or explode. An explosion might leave some debris in Canada. But, our "Heinie's are clean". By the way, 3 rolls a week is the equivalent of 1 roll a few years back. If the TP cores get any bigger they will be able to use them to ship the tires of 18 wheeler's in. You guys have nothing but trees up there, we are just helping you clear out some more land for you to sell houses to replace them with. When the American refugee's start heading north to escape the fiasco down here, you are going to need more housing. Your security hedges will not hold us back and you know what kind of criminals we are.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Ski went back to the clinic today.
The doctor asked him, “So do you think we’re winning?”
He said, “I think so.”

She removed the bandage and said, “Nope, not winning.”

He’s scheduled for surgery on the 19th, but was put on the cancellation list if a spot comes up sooner.

Because of his minor heart condition, they’re going with local anaesthetic, through the arm pit which will freeze his entire arm.

She’s hoping to cut above the knuckle, but realistically, she said it will likely be below. 🙁

He’s fine. Ready for it to just be over already. To be fair, the doctor wanted to schedule surgery two appointments ago.

Our last full day here...:(
Going over to Sea World for a couple of hours this morning, then back here for packing up. Dinner out tonight somewhere - not sure where yet though. Tomorrow we'll visit some friends in Jaccksonville on our way up to GA, then on to VA for grandson's birthday.

No lollygagging for you two! Always on the run--it's hard for me to keep up! :joyfull:
