Feel better! I just took a nap so I can party later. Yesterday I was in bed in my jammies watching tv at 7:30 so I figured I needed a nap since the party STARTS at 7:30. 😂

Rule of thumb: 30 days for a President. (I believe this is the last day.)

There are also special exceptions made for others.

In 2018, there were three times the flag was flown at half staff: for President Bush, Barbara Bush, and Senator McCain.

Nemo, sorry to hear about your cold. Get some rest tonight.

Too bad you aren't up here. One of the local stations is having a 3 Stooges marathon; I'll be watching that between other N.Y.'s Eve shows. (We stay inside on N.Y. Eve and avoid the crowds and drunks on the road.)

Happy New Year! It's 1:00 on 1-1-19. We don't go out for NYE. And DS has been waiting for weeks for the fireworks because he's always fallen asleep too early, even when he takes a nap. So he's been staying up late every night and he made it to midnight. Lit one fountain and got freaked out by all the other fireworks going off and went back inside and hid in his room. We lit a few more and saved the rest for tomorrow when it's not so overwhelming for him. Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful evening!

The US flags were supposed to be raised back to full staff after sundown last night. Wisconsin left theirs down for former State Senator Chilsen. He passed on Christmas morning.
