Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

I really liked the pictures you took at the Contemporary. The Mary Blair tile in the Grand Canyon Concourse is just amazing. Oh, I also liked the cups--those were really cute! :) (And the glass slipper on the velvet pillow was so pretty.)

Sitting in front of Frontera Cocina waiting for our ADR in 10 mins, I am surprised at the Walk-Ups who are PO’d that the earliest seating would be 9:30. 🙄

Many guests realize that reservations (especially during a holiday period) are essential. However, other people (who may not be Disney regulars) might assume that DS (because it's not actually in the parks) may not have similar seating issues.

“I’m on the Disney Dining Plan, I thought that guaranteed me seating.”

If someone rarely goes to WDW, I could understand how a person might misinterpret the nuances of the DDP.

Guess all I'm saying is that there is so much to know nowadays when going to WDW, and a lot of that knowledge I've picked up here on the forums, or have read in books, etc. Everyone's situation is different, and I guess my heart goes out to those who encounter issues once they get there. And (some) of those people do think they've planned out everything, but miss some other points.

When we got here at noon (ish), DS was quite navigable. Now, at 5:30, it’s a zoo. Way worse than Epcot yesterday. Sitting in front of Frontera Cocina waiting for our ADR in 10 mins, I am surprised at the Walk-Ups who are PO’d that the earliest seating would be 9:30. 🙄

Anyway, pics from earlier today before the hordes descended.

The new World of Disney. Better. That is all.

I think some people just need to feel POd at something. When we went to Disney in 2016, there was a couple on the ECV things who were walk-ups for Akershus. We had an ADR and got in line behind them. Of course, as walk-ups, they had to wait for an open table, so they were sent to a sort of holding area to wait, and then we got right in and I heard them complaining that we were a larger party and got right in while they were only 2 people and had to wait when they were there before us. Then I heard the one person say something about it probably being because they were on the scooters...they probably had to move tables around to accommodate two scooters. Really? You don't make a reservation, but expect to be seated before people who DO make a reservation? And you think the only reason they would possibly seat a party who reserved ahead of one who didn't is because they need to make room for the scooters that you aren't supposed to bring into the seating area anyway? Do some research, people!
