Do you go every year? I know a lot of people on this forum do....so many people have annual passes. I WISH we could afford to fly over that often. As much as I love Disney, I'm not willing to live in Florida at the moment to go there, even if DH could get a job there...I don't think I would even want to live in the US right now. But I do wish I could just run off to Disney on a long weekend, etc.
We used to go every year, but I think it's turning into an every other year type of thing now. Our next trip is probably next summer.

And today’s plans?
I'm thinking about heading out to 5 Guys in a few minutes. Since this month, so far has been nothing but medical procedures I thought it was about time for my grease infusion w/a side of peanuts and maybe even a milkshake. What I really wish is that someplace made milkshakes like they were when I grew up. Tasty, sweet and able to come up through a straw without bursting blood vessels in ones mouth. If I wanted a glass of ice cream I would have asked for one.

I’m with you. Whenever I go to a place that actually “makes” milkshakes, I always tell them - not too thick, just really, really creamy.

I get the upcoming long weekend off - Friday through Tuesday, with free Jays tickets on Saturday. I’ll take it. 👍

It will also give me the opportunity to catch up on some house cleaning. The place is a tip.

Might look at Buffalo hotel availability just for fun while I’m at it.

Is there a holiday up North this weekend?

National-Parchment-Day-Last-Wednesday-in-June-1.jpg

At the end of June, National Parchment Day arrives to bring innovation and convenience back to the kitchen.

Parchment infuses flavor, locks in moisture and preserves vital nutrients and has long been a part of the traditional French kitchen. Ever versatile, parchment conveniently transitions from skillet to oven and from the grill to table. Its ability to be elegant as well as useful makes it one of the more effective tools in the kitchen.

Cooking “en papillote” enhances natural flavors, without the synthetic sprays and high-fat oils. Not only does culinary parchment simplify preparation and clean-up, but it’s also a much healthier and environmentally friendlier alternative to traditional cooking techniques. The French have cooked with parchment for centuries, perfecting taste and texture in every dish. It has long-served as the secret to preparing wholesome, healthy meals.

With all these added benefits, it’s difficult to ignore what parchment brings to the kitchen and to the table. Use a variety of parchment products to make composing delicious meals in the home kitchen a culinary success.

A year ago today:

We started our morning in Epcot and went to Frozen to start. After walking all the way back there, we found out it was closed due to technical difficulties. I remember being very frustrated because there was nobody to tells us this information until we've walked all the way to Norway. Had they told us while waiting at the rope or on our walk, we could have gotten a decent spot in line for TT. So instead of waiting probably 45 minutes at this point for TT, we opt to wait until Frozen opens, which takes about 20-30 minutes. Afterwards it was time for a FP for Nemo that we got only because there are no better tier 2 options. After Nemo we did a combination of the following: road Soarin', SSE, and possibly LwtL before heading back to Riverside.

In the afternoon we went to DS because we had a reservation at T-Rex. I absolutely love their burgers there.

After T-Rex we went to DHS. If I remember this right, this was the time that it was POURING rain, and we were trying to meet up with my aunt, uncle, and cousins who we were vacationing with. Waiting in One Man's Dream for about 30 minutes, then ran through the rain to meet up with them at TGMR. We went to see MuppetVision, and I noticed something was off. There was no sign, so I took a picture. Turns out that night they were replacing the old sign with the new marquee-style sign that is there now. It just looked weird that the ride was not marked at all. Earlier that day we were able to score a FP for RnR somehow, so we went to ride that later. Then we went to do standby at ToT, a ride I LOVE at night. After that we went back to Riverside for the night.
