Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

So we’re home and both of us are sick...

Sick of being home and not being able to see the eagles flying around? Or, the "real" sick--colds? Well, stay inside, rest, and keep warm. At least you had a great vacation and now that you're home, you can take all the time you need to get well. (I know, not much consolation when you're not feeling well, but I'm searching for something positive, so it won't seem so bad.)

These are the conversations you have after 32 years:

- Lots of stale bread here. I’m making toast. You’re having some.
- Okay.

Seriously, it doesn’t matter who said what. Could easily have gone either way. 😂
But this is when you need to shake things up and be spontaneous to keep life interesting. For instance, next time a similar mundane conversation arises, randomly throw in a little Shakespeare outta the blue.

Jennifer: "Lots of stale bread here. I’m making toast. You’re having some."
Mike: "Okay."
(after a brief pause)
Jennifer: "Love bread or hate bread,
both are in my favor.
If you love bread,
bread will always be in your stomach.
If you hate bread,
bread will always be in your mind."

(Take a dramatic bow, and walk outta the room as he stands there in total bewilderment.)

*sigh* I probably wouldn't last a single day in a marriage. :(

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

Oh no. Literally sick or just post-vacation "sick"?

No “spray the phone screen with Lysol” jokes.

Hope you feel better soon. Flu can be serious. Especially this year. Stay on top of your symptoms, and respond accordingly. Too late for Tamiflu?

Gaackk. Do you have a fever? What about chills or muscle aches? Sometimes you can get all those with a cold, but they can also be signs of the flu. Just so you know, I had two killer colds (back to back) about 2 months ago and neither was the flu. Had no fever, chills or muscle aches. Doctor told me it was not the flu.

fever yes and achey

Curious--did you both get a flu shot this year? For some, it definitely does help and/or even just lesson the symptoms.

Oddly enough, when I had those 2 colds recently, I had thought I was running a fever because my head felt hot. But any time I'd take my temperature it always was low. Go figure. Anyway, just passing that along for what it's worth. (Doc told me that even bad colds usually don't present with a fever, as they're mostly viral, and not bacterial. That's why a fever might be more associated with a flu.)

Get you some of this - make sure it says "Raw / unfiltered".
Add a tablespoon to a full glass of lukewarm water. Drink a glass when you first get up in the morning, and once or twice more daily. (Don't expect it to be Flavor of the Month. :depressed: But it may help. Actually it helps with 'lots of things, including colds / flu.)
