CAUTION winter-haters. There be snow in these pictures ahead. These be the last friendly words ye hear.

Leftover wintry goodness from last night's snowfall / icefall / whatever it was that we got.

In theory, you'd think the mountains with the higher elevation would be covered on top a lot heavier than the lower mountains in the foreground. But that doesn't seem to be the case today.

This fellow looked to be the mountain with the least amount of meltage so far. Yes, I just said meltage. Pretend it's a word.

I love winter.
I don’t.

I love winter too and I'm not hiding it under a spoiler tag either! :p The first photo (with the brook) is about as much snow as we got today--not much. Alas . . .

And a little update about my socks mitties yesterday. I was chatting this morning with one of the docs at work, and he was talking about how some people still don't know how to dress warmly for cold weather. I brought up my sillly socks/mittens story from yesterday morning. He said, "Well at least you weren't lonely rushing up to the bus stop." (Huh?) I asked him what he meant, and he said, "Oh, I figured that since you had on two sock puppets, you all must have been gabbing up a storm!" :joyfull: :hilarious:

We are getting some WIND. Code red warning, gusts up to about mph. Our trampoline blew over, then blew back upright, the neighbor's satelite dish is halfway to the ground because the pole it's mounted on has been blown, bent to almost a 90 degree angle. Yesterday, it hailed on me when I went to pick up DD for musical theater lessons and pick up my brand new glasses (I can see!!!). I'm tired of this weather! Give me sunshine or give me snow, I don't care....just not this stuff!!

I'm staying inside until I have go to the grocery store. The code red is only supposed to be until 1 pm, so hopefully I can get to the store in an hour or two. But it sounds like the wind is trying to rip our windows off the hinges. DH is picking the kids up with the car today because they would be blown to creation on bikes.
