I’ve got tickets and a hotel room ... and cancellation insurance on everything, in case things don’t pan out.

This is the first available concert not sold out, and it just happens to be the day after our 25th wedding anniversary. We were planning something special, so this fits the bill perfectly, no?
And a Carmine’s date - you forget to mention the Carmine’s date!!

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
After multiple, multiple days of having to get dressed (despite being a little sick), today was supposed to be a pyjama day.

But nooooooo, now I have to go to Crappy Tire and pick up a replacement gift for my brother. Might as well really bundle up and go to Simcoe to see the lights before Mike gets too sick.

The Simcoe Panorama is an annual tradition. I truly cannot remember missing a single year. This will be number 33 for Mike and me as a couple. Son #1 will be annoyed if we go without him, but there are only five nights left. Lights out on 12/31.

On the plus side, the Winter Festival of Lights in Niagara Falls run until the end of January. :)

Yea for you two!!! (I've mentioned before that we saw him at Madison Square Garden, too, back at the turn of the year to 2000.) He puts on a great concert--you won't be disappointed!!

So I lied before when I said I was done with Christmas. My friends and I are doing a "legit gift" white elephant on Saturday, so that will be my last "kinda" Christmas.

I love stretching out Christmas like that. Mine went in the opposite direction--a lot of loot from people at work prior to Christmas, so that made the festivities last longer. Glad you can still enjoy the fun on Saturday! :)

We went to see the lights at Longwood Gardens tonight. It was pretty cold so I didn’t take my good camera, but here are a few I took with my phone:

We also went to see some Christmas lights tonight.

So glad I came to this thread this morning to see all the pretty pictures. Nemo, I especially like that first photo from Longwood Gardens--what a lovely place that is. Jennifer, I laughed when I saw the Grinch display--very cute! I also really liked the Nativity scene as well. Your area seems to really get into outdoor decorating, which is nice. (There wasn't much around here, other than people using lights on houses, etc. Years ago, it seemed like people decorated a bit more outside).

You'll be all set with your new, funny snowman for next Christmas! :joyfull:

We liked the shivering snowman so much, we just ordered one from Amazon. I cheaped out on shipping though, so it won’t be here for a couple of weeks. Hurry, there are only 8 left!

When I saw your first post of pictures I thought the snowman was super cute. I love that you ordered one! Will you be putting it up when it arrives or will you save it for next year? Just asking because I remember that you like to keep your lights on for awhile.

I will not open gifts before Christmas. People don’t even try now. They know I will refuse. All gifts go under the tree.
