Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Went to a hockey game tonight, and my team won 4-3 with 29.1 seconds to go in overtime. Very exciting! Especially when we were down 2-3 for most of the 3rd period.
It's sad that the temperature at the hockey rink was no doubt warmer than the temps outdoors...

This may come as a big shock to you all, but sometimes my brain doesn't function. Long story short, I got a new Cuisinart, 6-quart, fast cooker (new generation of pressure cookers). Read and reread directions carefully, but still couldn't figure out the pressure valve thingy. Diagram showed it facing one way, but directions said opposite? o_O

Called in the cavalry--hubs. He takes ONE look at it, and immediately (yes, immediately . . .) understands the science behind the pressure valve and makes an adjustment for me. Then it cooked the dinner correctly.

I remember those days when my son played ice hockey.

I'm so lost. To what article are you referring? All I see is temps in F and C and something about minimum wage. I don't see an article.
Under “News” the third story down is about things that used to be fine but suddenly people had a problem with in 2017. It’s a screenshot from her phone though so there's nothing to click on. I reposted the photo link below.

The pressure part of that stuff turns me off of getting one of those. I'm afraid I would do something wrong and it would explode or something. So I can totally relate to your confusion.

We have an Instant Pot. I won’t touch it with a 10’ pole. I won’t even go in the kitchen while Mike is using it.

Back in high school, I took a cooking class. One of the girls pulled off the steam metal piece from the pressure cooker, before it was supposed to be removed. Cover of pot flew up to the ceiling and food was on the walls, etc. (As goofy school kids, we thought the entire scene was hilarious. :hilarious: Teacher was not amused. :cautious: Luckily, none of us got burned.)

Yet, the newer generation of these pots have more safety features. I'm not familiar with the one that Jennifer has, but this Cuisinart has a locking lid that cannot be opened, if the pressure has not dropped to a safe level. That alone, made me consider trying the newer models. There's a few YouTube videos out there that give a brief tutorial. Still, there is a bit of a learning curve. (Oh, this model also browns meat, and you can saute in it as well.)

Ah, I get it now. I was looking for a 3rd screenshot. I'm sick and not 100% functional. Kinda loopy. Thank you for explaining it.

Well that’s not good. Hope you’re feeling better soon.
I'll live. It's just a bug. I went into work tonight...of course the boss sent me home early because he could see I really wasn't feeling well, but it could be much worse. And now I have the whole long weekend to recuperate. No plans for new years...I MIGHT go see Pitch Perfect 3 again, but other than that, my plans include nothing but PJs and netflix!

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

I’ll live. That’s my line. :hilarious:
I kind of own the PJ’s thing too.

You can have Pitch Perfect 3 and Netflix, if no one else objects though.
