Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Son #1 is moving back home, and I am "nesting".
Believe it or not, I am taking down my tree today. :(

Plus, I'm interviewing cleaning ladies again next week, and nobody would be crazy enough to work here if they saw the current chaos!

I've gone solo plenty of times (my hubs is not a WDW fan . . . :cautious: ) and I always have fun there. I have no itinerary when I go and never do the Fastpass thing, because the lion's share of the rides I like to go on, have single rider lines. Those are just fine for me and the wait is anywhere from 5 minutes to 25, depending upon the time of day, etc. I've met some wonderful CMs and chatted with them, and I've also met some very nice guests as well. I hope you have a great time!
You should PM me next time you're going solo, and we could go solo together. We should also invite @ajrwdwgirl, and make a solo trio!

The tree is coming down, how does your hubs feel about that? Are your lights still staying on until march?

If memory serves, this is the very first expensive decoration (ie- not from a Woolco $1.44 Day) that I ever bought. Circa 1987, I think.

I forgot how much I love his beautiful face. Next year I will be sure to place him more prominently.

Next year. 'Cause this year is done. :(
We took our Christmas stuff down yesterday. Christmas flew by this season.

Me: Honey, I'm going to break your heart.
Hubby: What's up?
Me: I'm taking down the tree. I need to get the armchairs out of S's room in case he moves back early.
Hubby: (sad face) Okay, Baby.

Son #1 and the GF have broken up. I'd be surprised if he lasts there until the end of the month.

Of course the outside lights are staying up until March. Or beyond! I'm thinking of leaving the crabapple tree lights on permanently.

And have a citrus swirl for me.

You also might want to mention to that girl that you are thinking of coming down and see what she says. She might be busy if her time is ending around then too.

I've actually never had a citrus swirl. I'll have to try one this trip. That's always the problem though. There's so much I want to eat but my stomach seems to be the size of a pea.

I think you're right about telling her. That's what I've decided to do. Might have been more romantic to just show up but probably not practical.

Thank you. That sounds great. I hate following an itinerary. I like to just live in the moment when I'm on vacation.

Fire or Ice? A new documentary suggests that a pre-existing coal fire was responsible for bringing the great ship down; rather than an iceberg. Having to use the burning coal would also explain why the ship was traveling so swiftly through known ice fields.

Another one of those things we'll never know. As she sunk and settled on the ocean floor, the suspected side of the hull landed "butter side down".

Wouldn't any of the survivors noticed if the thing was on fire or not. I don't recall anything ever mentioned about fire or even smoke. A coal fire would have to have a lot of oxygen added to melt the steal plates on the ship causing it to take on water and sink, wouldn't it?

Knowledge and reports of the coal bunker fire go back to 1912. What's new are recently released photos that show what appears to be damage to the hull before Titanic undertook her maiden voyage.

From Google:
It was known that there was a fire on the ship. What’s “new” here is blaming the fire for the sinking of the ship once it hit the iceberg. Both an author of several books about the ship and a former secretary from the British Titanic Society told The Times there certainly was a fire aboard the ship, burning from Wednesday until Saturday.

The author, Richard De Kerbrech, told The Times he gave little attention to the fire before reading Molony’s research on its extent, and the former secretary said he didn’t believe the fire had much to do with the sinking of the ship.

But Molony isn’t the first to present research like this, despite the Sun and the Daily Mail’s phrasing of “it has now emerged that the gigantic ocean liner could have been brought down by a fire” and “now a journalist claims a boiler room fire had weakened her hull,” respectively. The photos and the weakening hull are the new part.

Humph, does that mean that they are going to remake the movie and and this time call it "The Night of the Ember!" And instead of what's his name drowning he becomes a crispy critter explaining why what's her name wouldn't share her float for fear it would catch fire?
