Thanks to Washington's loss, the Packers are in the playoffs for the 8th straight year! Tied with the Patriots for the longest current playoff run. Now tonight's game will decide whether we go on the road to Seattle next week, or host the Giants. I'd rather win our division tonight and host the Giants.

Thanks, but I'm not allowed to be sick....
Just be thankful you never have to endure the dreaded Man Cold. Sadly I had to suffer through one of these nasty hell-on-earth ordeals last year. You'll never understand what it's like. Luckily I made it through with shining colors, with the aid of good rest, healthy fluids, lot's of vitamin C, and a nightly candlelight vigil performed outside my apartment window by friends & kin.

I've just booked an impromptu trip to Disney World. I'll be arriving on Thursday and it'll just be me. I've never done something like that so spur of the moment before and it feels a little crazy.
You did DL solo for D23, yes?

What made you book such an impromptu trip? For how long are you going? Staying where? Were you able to book any FP's?

Can't wait until you get there and start posting! You will have a wonderful time!

That's awesome!

I'm really excited. It's been two years since my last trip.
Have a wonderful time!

Thank you. I'll be sure to keep you all posted.
Have fun! Solo trips are great!

Thank you. That's good to hear. I've never been on a solo trip before.
There may be some WDWmagic members there you could meet @JenniferS may know a few that are there

Cool! I'd love to meet some fellow WDWmagic members.

No, I was initially going to go solo but my mom and little sister decided to come too. They didn't go to D23 though, and one night I was on my own at Disneyland because my sister was tired and they went back to the hotel.

Well, the reason the trip is so sudden is because I want to visit a girl I've been talking to for a while that works seasonly at Disney World. She comes back to Mississippi on January tenth. Still don't know if I should tell her I'm coming or surprise her.

I'll be there for five days. Arrive Thursday the fifth and leave on Tuesday the tenth. I'm staying at Pop Century, and I was able to book fastpasses. BTW I despise having to do that. I loved the spontaneity of Disneyland. Some rides like Frozenstrom didn't have fastpasses available, but I honestly don't give a tinker's damn about that ride.

I'm not sure how much live posting I'll be doing, but I'll at least post at the end of the day.

I'm sure I'll have a wonderful time. It will be interesting to see how different the experience is after having been to Disneyland for the first time.

Cherchez la femme. ;)

Don't dismiss Frozenstrom. It's actually very well done, does not stick out like a sore thumb, and is clearly an indication of things to come. If you get the chance to ride it, sit back and enjoy.

Tell me if you smell oranges at PoC. Also the Treehouse was closed during our last trip, and I was sad. Take a peek (and a pic) from the peak, if you please.

Last request - have a Dole Whip float for me, please. Sans rum, of course.

If it's possible for me to ride Frozenstrom without waiting long I'll give it a go just to see what's there.

I'll try to remember to be on the smell out for oranges on POTC and to take a pic from the treehouse.

And you don't have to worry about me getting a Dole Whip float. I've been craving one for quite a while now.
I have never heard this expression before. It's hilarious.

I've been known to use it from time to time.

I've gone solo plenty of times (my hubs is not a WDW fan . . . :cautious: ) and I always have fun there. I have no itinerary when I go and never do the Fastpass thing, because the lion's share of the rides I like to go on, have single rider lines. Those are just fine for me and the wait is anywhere from 5 minutes to 25, depending upon the time of day, etc. I've met some wonderful CMs and chatted with them, and I've also met some very nice guests as well. I hope you have a great time!
