Soooooo....
We have no heat in the house tonight.

Do you have any sort of electric space heaters that you could use, until a repairman can come in the morning to fix your heating system? It's always good to keep a few electric blankets around as well, just for odd times like this. Hope it isn't too cold--we're warm up here in MA and you're just south of the state.

Your idea of warm and "normal people's" idea of warm are 2 entirely different things! :P

Oh, sorry . . . wrong picture above. I meant the one below. As long as you dress for it, you can be perfectly warm in winter. See -- quite content.

We have a couple of space heaters on, so we'll be fine. It's just a nuisance right now. My DH had turned the heat down while we were working upstairs today,(long story) and now it won't relight. He's flustered because he can't fix it.

Is it a pilot light? (Not sure what kind of heating system you have.)

Yes he thnks it's just thermal conductor, but since he didn't call the plumber til 6 or after, they can't come out til tomorrow.

Well, better that a repair happens at the beginning of the season, if it's a part that might have been on it's way out soon. This might be a blessing in disguise.

Just took my dog outside and I could hear a bunch of coyotes howling and attacking some animal over a hill. It sounded like there were two groups in different spots.
