Oh, irony of ironies -
http://kitchener.ctvnews.ca/many-re...ng-still-wondering-where-they-ll-go-1.2042017

Now that the boys are keen on moving out, they were actually hoping to grab something for December 1, rather than wait until the new year.

And then, a 59-unit building here in town was condemned due to structural damage, and the city has evicted all of the tenants. The city has contacted management companies and rental agencies, and laid claim to all units becoming immediately available, until all displaced tenants are relocated.

So, the boys have to wait until January 1st after all.
That's okay, though. The two units they were considering were just "okay" - main floor, smaller square footage, or located directly above the main entrance. Seeing as how they will probably "smoke" outside on the balcony, they don't want to be on the main floor or above the entrance. (Know what I mean, Vern?)

The January first apartment is IDEAL - corner unit, largest square footage, bigger balcony, fourth floor.

It's happening Peeps! They're moving.

Thats good to hear!

Networking for me is hard because I really don't have experience other then volunteering 9 mths in a HR office. The people in the office were nice but never gave me connections. My parents and family has connections, nothing either. I've even applied to a couple jobs for my cousin's company he works at. LinkedIn does not help. I didn't consider my other jobs 'real' so I graduated 8 years ago and no real job. Ok, now I'm to go hyperventilate.

That's a gap, but you can talk it up. Can you claim you've used that time to assist a family member in crisis? Or perhaps you used that time to gain more knowledge of business?

Why don't you consider the other jobs "real" jobs? If you don't want to talk publicly, you can pm me. I'm good with making gaps in employment and crap jobs look like polished turds.

I've made my three year cashiering job sound so interesting, every interviewer asks about it, even if the job isn't even close to being a cashier position. Just wanna help you out, if I can!

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

My brother used to explain his gaps (jail) as being out west, working at one of the ski lodges in Banff.
No one ever checked!

Of course, this was before the widespread use of computers, so I'm sure it's not as foolproof as it used to be.
