When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Roy Williams - current coach of UNC.

Hubby has been a Tar Heels fan for as long as I've known him. Even before Michael Jordan's time there.

Three years ago, we were booked at POR - Nov. 14-21. We had planned to drive (for the first time since '06), as we were taking a detour through Chapel Hill on the way home. We had planned to go to the museum there, and had tickets for a game at the "Dean Dome".
As you may recall, my mom passed away suddenly and unexpectly less than a week before we were heading out, and we had to cancel the entire trip. (Sadly, we had missed the previous year's trip, due to my dad's passing.)

Anyways, long story short, meeting Roy Williams is a big deal. It would be eclipsed only by hanging with Dean Smith himself.

Tension

DD - gets phone call while she was at work, message she has made round #4 of interview for job.
Cautiously optimistic. Would like to know how many layers to interviews there really are at this point.

Then when home she receives a email from a Department of a University she interviewed at a bit ago and silence there after....now wants her to submit her references. Who would have thunk.

One is more in line with what she wants to do but would jump at either, still guarded 'cause she has built this self defense mechanism to keep her guard up.

Options are never a bad thing.
Hope at least one of them works out for her.

OK, then...
Posting from my phone at the hospital. Been here since 9:30a and will be spending the night.
Had been having very intermittent strange pains and feelings in my head that started Thursday afternoon and continued into this morning. Went in to the office this morning, but, by 9a-ish, had had enough.
Anyway, long story short, they started out with your basic physical motor tests possibly indicating stroke, etc. Then blood work. Then a cat scan. Then an MRI, which I was just given the all clear on a half hour ago. Thank god. Apparently, all those tests have effectively ruled out any of the really scary stuff, but, they want to do another round of labs, and I am wearing a portable heart monitor, which I've done before.
D**n what a last day-and-half-ish of crazy...

On a lighter note, the 45 min. MRI was actually pretty darn cool. With all the whirrin', squealin', thumpin' and bumpin, goin' on in that thing it sounded kinda' like a techno concert...!!! :joyfull: :D ;) :)

I'm going to give you a like, 'cause that's what I do ... but seriously Pal - what the heck? You've been posting all day like nothing has been going on. I even noticed you posting at odd times for you.

Glad the big stuff has been ruled out; that must be a huge relief.

I trust and pray that everything will be fine.
Try and get some sleep. (Ha ha). But if not, I'll be here for a bit if you want to chat.

Making tea. Want one?

Oh dear, I hope you're feeling a better when you wake up today. That was scary, and it's so difficult to try and relax when they're performing a battery of tests. Sounds like they are doing everything correctly though, and the medical team always starts with the worst case scenarios, and works their way backwards to lesser medical conditions. I can tell you that if the MRI showed an "all clear" that is major, so take a little comfort in that.

Eventually, they'll sort through the myriad of possibilities, so the waiting time is normal. This happens more often than not, when the medical staff is trying to diagnose symptoms. My hunch is you'll be fine in due course. You absolutely did the right thing by seeking medical attention, and if there is some sort of condition that they do find, you're much better off getting treatment in the early stages.

We all care about you.

I am unfamiliar with Mr. Williams and don't know what a Tar Heel is, but I am happy that your hubby had such a nice time. That was such a nice photo of him with Mr. Williams. It's those "moments" in life that really give us a lift. :)
