I can see the eye roll through those sunglasses as "Magical Friday" is said. When I worked at The Disney Store we called it "Magical Friday".![]()
And I've heard the snarf'n thing too. Maybe it isn't as much an American Term more a regional? Kinda like Soda and Pop? Or some areas that call every soda a Coke.
I went to college with a girl from Norwell, and she always said "tonic" so of course we made fun of her.You know, you might be on to something here with regional expressions. You mentioned the various terms for soda, pop, or every soda being called a Coke. I can also add a less familiar one; where I grew up, the term for all sodas was "tonic" and I've never heard that used anywhere else in the U.S. Haven't used that term in ages, but it was very common in my area when I was a kid.![]()
Cover the coffee bean in chocolate.
I'm never ugly without chocolate. I am ugly if I don't have 2 cups of coffee before interacting with humans.
I'd pick the coffee bean too.
My DD became a tea person while at college. I even bought her own Keurig to make the caffeine fix easier to obtain. Now that she is home again I fix her tea when she is going to get up, just the way my husband makes a pot of coffee before he wakes me up. He doesn't drink it but he knows what will happen if I don't drink the coffee.
Coffee is gross.A variation of who'd ya rather?
Which would you rather?
I'm going with the coffee bean.
Mom, is that you?Coffee is gross.I like the smell of it though.
"So of course we made fun of her".I went to college with a girl from Norwell, and she always said "tonic" so of course we made fun of her.
thats when you go with Mocha coffeeNot only does coffee keep me from killing every morning, it makes people attractive enough to talk to and allows me to speak freely. Kinda like alcohol. But come the midday crash (and subsequent refill) I can't be held responsible for any growling or mumbling or hand shaking.
As much as I love chocolate, coffee is first.
My mom hates coffee too. All my years in the restaurant business and I never liked coffee. I didn't mind making it or serving it. My ex doesn't function without it. (Large cup coffee with two shots espresso.Mom, is that you?
thats when you go with Mocha coffee
Instructions
- 1
Brew a shot of espresso. If you don't own an espresso machine, double brew your regular coffee or use instant espresso. Add the espresso powder to hot water and stir well.- 2
Heat whole milk in a small pan on low heat, stirring constantly to prevent scalding. Add a few tablespoons of chocolate and heat until the milk begins to expand and the chocolate melts. You can use dark chocolate, milk chocolate or white chocolate.- 3
Combine the heated chocolate milk and shot of espresso and stir. You can add extras to your cafe mocha, including whiskey, Irish creme, vanilla or raspberry flavoring or stir your mocha with a peppermint candy cane. Top your mocha with whipped cream and chocolate chips and serve.
I only really get them from a farmers market or in my favorite ice cream flavor. Luckily neither of those places would dare skimp on the espresso bean.I love dark chocolate covered espresso beans. But it has to be the whole bean. Sometimes they make chocolate bean shapes with espresso bits in them and it is NOT the same.
I agree, though I can't stand the smell. Not consuming all that caffeine is probably better for us.Coffee is gross.I like the smell of it though.
