Sure do. Didn't even lose power. But, right now, it looks like the city may be shut down through friday even...we are getting more tonight.
Yeah...I saw on the UPS website that several packages I am expecting are stuck in Atlanta hub.

Thankfully I am JUST under the freezing line RIGHT NOW. It's just really cold rain all day long.

That doesn't surprise me. The whole city is pretty much shut down...I suspect it will be the same tomorrow.

Tonight we are supposed to get another 1 - 3 inches and mid 20s temps. Then tomorrow highs in the mid 40s, and then another freeze Thurs night.

I have a feeling that we're basically shut down until Sat.

This sucks for hourly employees...though for my dept (accounting) I set them all up to work remotely, so they are still able to do their jobs from their house.

Raleigh is suffering the same fate. Gridlock city today. I guess they didn't learn from Atlanta two weeks ago. They did close schools today though, so that helped. The kids are happy now, but, when they add all those days into the end of the year, when the weather is nice, the smiles will fade quickly.

Apologies, I don't know what that means.

If it helps, I was aiming for a broad "Best Little W-house in Texas" reference.

Essentially, I meant it to mean I was playing stupid. Although, I'm often stupid and actually NOT playing so.
It really, more accurately, means something along the lines of to play a sport or game below ones skill level or expectations to lull an opponent into a false sense of security.

Anyway, I can see it now...
"Best Little Strip Mall in Texas". ;)

You know, you might be on to something here with regional expressions. You mentioned the various terms for soda, pop, or every soda being called a Coke. I can also add a less familiar one; where I grew up, the term for all sodas was "tonic" and I've never heard that used anywhere else in the U.S. Haven't used that term in ages, but it was very common in my area when I was a kid. :)
The Tonic came from Coke, more specifically Coke Syrup that was used for tummy issues and nausea. It was considered a tonic.

Not only does coffee keep me from killing every morning, it makes people attractive enough to talk to and allows me to speak freely. Kinda like alcohol. But come the midday crash (and subsequent refill) I can't be held responsible for any growling or mumbling or hand shaking.

As much as I love chocolate, coffee is first.

Right there with ya sister friend.

Coffee is gross. :depressed: I like the smell of it though.

I don't think it's gross, I just never really needed it to get going in the morning or to keep going throughout the rest of my day. I might have about 2-4 cups a year, if I'm havin' an exceptionally groggy mornin', or somethin'. But, yes. Other than the beer aisle  ;), the coffee aisle is my ABSOLUTE favorite to walk down in a grocery store...smells heavenly! :)
