When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
It's cold and rainy here. No white Christmas.
Well thankfully it warmed up a smidge here, and much of the thick ice weighing down the trees melted today before the temps dropped again.

Luckily we never lost power, as did many homes in our city. Most outages here were brief; 4 - 8 hours, unlike Toronto, where there are still between 250,000 - 300,000 homes without hydro. No sooner do they restore power to some sections of the city, than trees fall over taking out more hydro lines in another section.
Experts don't expect power to be fully restored everywhere throughout the GTA until Saturday.
There are a lot of folks who won't be enjoying their Christmas dinner at home this year.
As of 6:00, when I last watched the news, there have been no storm related deaths; and the only injury was a 10 year old boy hit by a falling limb.

As to a white Christmas - there is still quite a bit on the ground, but roofs, roads and sidewalks were cleared by 24+ hours of rain/freezing drizzle.

Stay safe up there!

You fixed your avatar!!! Yea!!!

Yup - got to work late because I kept hitting snooze. Blamed being late on the kids. Fixed my avatar. Went out for a staff Christmas lunch. Opened the mail for the past 3 days. Called it a day. Like I said yesterday - good to get back to (slacking at) work! ;)

I hadn't been outside at all today until I went to the store a bit ago. It's -4 degrees! Brrr!

38 here, 76 in Orlando. There not that much further south than us, dag nabbit!
I'd still be wearin' a t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops, but I'm doin' a closer at the clothing store. Should have worn that anyway...

I actually found that quiz on Facebook, my friend posted it, and she got Des Moines, IA, which is pretty close!

I'm currently wearing sweatpants, a sweatshirt, and have a heavy blanket on. Where is spring?
