Ahh yes...I remember those days....seeing how many people we could put into the trunk of the car and only one person actually PAY to get into the movie.

We still have a drive-in here, but it's getting expensive.

Really...I think their numbers are down to the double digits across the country.

Edit: Just researched that ....about 375 left still operational. A lot more than I thought as there are none around here anymore.

Really...I think their numbers are down to the double digits across the country.

Ours generally operates nightly from Memorial Day to Labor Day, with weekend-only showings a month or so before and after that. For a family or a carload of friends, it's a great deal, but for the 2 of us, not so much. All current movies, and usually 3 screens, 2 movies per screen each night.

Thank you to you all! @trr1 Yes I'm going to a small private college near home that offered me a really good merit-based scholarship. Excited to go, but a little sad to be leaving my high school and my class behind.
