I do remember meeting up with my daughter for lunch a few years ago at a mall that's about half-way between us . It was Veteran's Day, and we both had the day off. We were sickened to see the lines of kids waiting to sit on Santa's lap then. Veteran's Day!!!!

One Little Spark...

Wish I was there, on the other side of the field.

And the band and visitor seats. Lots of Auburn fans here today, and I am sure you are quite happy!

I would love to be a fly on the wall for the Tenn Special Teams in the locker room. They quite literally handed the game over to the tigers!

I went to the mall today, (different one from the other day) and they were completely decorated, Christmas music blaring away and the kicker to me was that they had Santa there already with kids on his knee and everything. I had to look at the calendar to double check the date. Yup, November 9th.

I spoke with one of the clerks in one of the stores at the mall and said to him...You know you are going to be damn sick of this music by the time Christmas gets here. He replied, hell, I'm sick of it already.

When I was a kid, Santa always made a grand entrance well after Thanksgiving. Big deal, parades, sometimes arriving by helicopter and, I might be remembering this wrong, it was a long time ago, but I think there was only about a 3 week window for that. The radio stations used to have a special program every afternoon for a couple of weeks before Christmas where Santa would read your letters on air and announce whether you had been good or bad that year. (It was always good).

Careful. The "Santa" union is very powerful. Do not cross them.
I think Meg is their boss.
