(Those are not my shoes, by the way)

That second photo made me queasy. I am VERY afraid of heights. Years back I went to Toronto with a friend and we went to the observation tower next to the Blue Jays stadium. It also had a glass bottom. I laid down on the floor and just peeked my head over to look down. She walked right into the middle of it and did the Re-run dance from "What's Happening". She was also about 200 pounds at the time. I was beyond terrified for her safety and she just laughed at me and danced. She actually passed away 8 years ago today...she was 33...I can't believe I still laugh at her silliness as though it happened yesterday.

For those who are not 70's sitcom afficionados...here's Rerun:

In Vegas there was a bar at the top of the Palms that had a glass dance floor that looked down to the street below. I never had vertigo until I was standing in the middle of that in a crowd, looking downward.

So far this week I've had to 'unfriend' five people on my Facebook account. Two were childhood friends, one family member, and two that were 'friends of friends' that I more or less knew.

One was spouting racist comments, one sympathized with child molesters. Another kept posting the "terms of service repost this and your account will be safe" BS thing that I'm sure you've all seen going around if youre on Facebook.

But it's the "all muslims deserve to kill themselves" one that really got me.

I just can't believe people can be so... I don't even know what to call this. Heartless? Selfish? WRONG?

I think I need to stay off Facebook for a while. I mean, how am I supposed to fill my quota of cute puppies and adorable cat memes if people are nonstop posting this crap? :(

Had to vent. A little upset at the whole ordeal.

Back on topic. Not afraid of heights, but you'd be hard pressed to convince me to walk onto anything clear hanging anywhere 30 feet or more above the ground. Although I was at the top of the Empire State building a million years ago, during a middle school field trip... and hated it tremendously.

I used to work near the top of the tallest building in Pittsburgh, and I can confirm that they DO sway with heavy winds, heavy rain storms.... and especially, earthquakes. An itty bitty 3, 4. nothing hit here a few years ago and that building solidly moved and everyone freaked out and ran down 40+ stories of stairs and outside....and refused to go back in. lol

I unfriended one old high school acquaintance because he was posting so many rants about a certain elected official. I have cousins who are activists in certain political and social causes whose posts get tiresome, but I just unsubscribe them instead of unfriend them since they're blood relatives.

I think someone I went to high school with is a doomsday prepper. He is telling everyone to buy silver as paper money will soon be useless and to get guns for the upcoming wars. The reason is something to do with politics that makes no sense what so ever. I'd unfriend him, but its kind of entertaining. If he was sending stuff onto my profile I would, but the ramblings on my newsfeed are fine to me.

So my mom called me yesterday:
"I have tickets to see the Capital Steps tomorrow. You are going with me."
"I already have plans for tomorrow. I'm seeing Gravity. "
"You can see Gravity Saturday. You are going to this show with me."
"I have tickets to the haunted prison in Philly for Saturday."
"Well I guess you aren't seeing Gravity!"

So now I'm sitting in my office by myself waiting for this show since it's a few blocks away from here. Me and my girlfriend decided that the drama she would cause if I didn't go is not worth it.
