So I just moved the suitcases out to the living room to get them off the bed in the spare room. My son and his wife will be staying here tonight to catch an early flight out of our airport. Anyway, Thelma and Louise are playing with the zippers on them trying to figure out how to come along with us.

That's cute. The cats haven't recovered from us being away for 6 weeks last winter.

My dog just watches us and then jumps on us as we are about to leave. It's sad and cute at the same time.

Our dog was just so smart. I never would have been able to leave her for that long, but leaving the cats was no big deal. There I go again - mean old mom!

Mine used to get all crazy when he saw the suitcases. The puppy hasn't been through that yet - he's not too bright either - so we will have to wait until next trip to get a reaction.

Mine reacts according to what bags she sees.
- Just the small carry-on bags: She gets excited and starts prancing and jumping around because there is a 70% chance she is coming along for this adventure.
- Big black suitcase present: Crap they are leaving me! No, I'm going to be banished to that house with the crazy lady and the cat! Don't do this. *Grovels at my feet, then drops in front of the door in hopes to block us*

I wonder how she is going to react to the packing for camping. The massive pile of pillows, the air mattress bag, and tent are going to be new things for her to figure out.
