Though biggest aquarium in the US should be awesome.
I have never been to the National Aquarium. Yes this is sad. I was supposed to go with my bff when we were little, but for some reason we ended up not going. I think we're going in a few weeks, though.

If you want to add to a list of sadness, I've also never been to DC except in passing (other than Red Skins Stadium for an event). Been to Philly and Williamsburg, but not DC. It's kind of one of those things that we talk about doing and then never do.

Oh My!

Hard to wrap my brain around that, being so close in all. My kids went in 6th grade and did DC Williamsburg etc for a week. Some of them had never flow before so all sorts of treats on that trip.

I wantt to go to both those cities. DC was so fun...You could stay in museums forever. The American History museum was the one we did. And the Newseum which you had to pay but it was wicked good and it was 50 years since the JFK got shot so DC had a lot of special exhibits. I have like a dozen of so books on him and RFK. Though I missed the chaotic mess of the street grid that is New England and Boston. I didn't go to DC until a couple years ago.

First went to NYC in 8th grade with Joey McIntyre's sister being our tour guide.

Join the club. Though I have applied for jobs in Baltimore :cautious:. Though I don't like football or the Orioles. I kind of lost interest in baseball after the Red Sox won in 2004. Though biggest aquarium in the US should be awesome. But I have a phone interview tomorrow for a job in Orlando.
Did I have a brain cramp or just missed the memo? I thought that the largest aquarium in the US was in Atlanta! I think the largest in the world is in Dubai. (where else, overcompensation I think)

It's not close; it's about a two hour drive, three with traffic. Not as far as it is for some here, but it's not exactly a quick drive. I live closer to PA than I do to DC. There used to be field trips down there, but then something happened and we couldn't go anymore. My bff and I have talked about going down just the two of us one of these days. Eventually I'll go before I pick up and move to Florida. It's almost like because we're away so much, we don't do a lot of day trips. We do Hershey every year and then Annapolis every once in a while (when my dad has court over there, we'll tag along and meet him for lunch), but other than that we really only do sporting events and occasionally when a Broadway Across America show comes to the Hippodrome that looks interesting (Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins) we'll do that, but no long weekends (I haven't been to Ocean City either, but I have no real desire) or day trips.

We've done Williamsburg twice, once when I was in fifth grade and once when my brother was in fifth grade. Both of us had big fifth grade projects and could choose several options. My parents took me and my bff when we were in fifth grade and both of us did Williamsburg for our projects. Then when it came time for my brother to do that same project, it was the option we felt would best suit him, so we went to Williamsburg then too. I would love to go back and check out Busch Gardens.

Have never read any of the books, and have never really had any interest to. Have seen parts of a coupla' movies only 'cause DS was kinda' into it at one time. I think I slept through half of whichever one we saw at the theater.
I read them to ascertain whether I would allow my kids to do so.

At the time, I decided they were not appropriate for my boys - especially the oldest; who had trouble distinguishing reality from fantasy. (Can't tell ya how many times I had meetings with the teacher/principal, as they were disturbed by his writings.)

His grade 5 teacher decided to choose a different book to read to the class because of him; despite having read it for years prior.

Thank goodness he was born long past the height of D & D.

:) Funny. It takes me more than 2 hours to fly to DC.

Both of my children had class trips to DC - from Florida. My daughter lived there for several years, and actually had her wedding there, so I've visited several times. My husband grew up in the Philly suburbs, so I've been there many times. The same with Boston & NYC.

I've also been to Williamsburg a few times, and just visited Annapolis for the first time. Been by it several times, but never stopped.

:) Funny. It takes me more than 2 hours to fly to DC.
When we went to that event at the Red Skins Stadium, no joke, it took us four hours to get there. An hour just sitting in traffic at one point trying to get to the next exit.

DC traffic is the absolute worst.

I think some people think Baltimore and DC are closer to each other than they actually are though. It's not like it's a 30 minute drive between the two. The other DC location I've been to is Washington Dulles. United has nonstop flights from Dulles to Honolulu

2010 Honda Fit (fully paid off at the end of the year)

Some 2007 and 2011 Honda vehicles, if I remember correctly other models followed.
There is a class action suit going I know for at least one model because while under warranty they kept replacing with faulty locks with same problem until the warranty ran out. You might want to check and see if there is a recall or class action for your vehicle.

I never drive to Chicago for the same reason. Don't they have trains from Baltimore to WDC?
