Good luck with your show. Are the cats/dogs supposed to have weights in the bottom for stability?
I originally had planned adding weight for stability, but even so, I think my pattern is flawed and it's just not working.
But...lemonade from lemons....I'm going to make "pet baskets" using them glued to death on the front of the basket, and full of pet treats. They'll sell well at craft shows come November and December. I'll take a pic of the plushes later...when I feel more alive.
It's 9:30 pm and I'm drinking coffee. Already had a two hour nap... Today took the wind out of my sails!
36 degrees. Feel like temp of 27. Snow Flurries. October 4th. Pretty sure my outdoor plants will be spinach by Monday.
Sympathy like.
I'm not ready for winter. All eight months of it.

Yes please!
I'm loving all the guy advice on dressing a women for a wedding. You guys are making my day.![]()
Right? Cracks me up! I admit I like to take my (very, very gay) male friend dress shopping with me when I had to go to a dreaded wedding...because I would go for all black (think funeral) and he always brightens it up.
The next wedding I attend will be HIS!!! So excited!
I just want to say....it's sleeting and my porch is covered with tiny snow pellets. Not cool Mother Nature, not cool. At least it's not sticking around. One step closer to snow though. This has made me get my cookbooks out to start looking at Christmas cookie recipes.
Any suggestions for this year?
SYMPATHY LIKE. it selected here for a few minutes and I literally had tears in my eyes. I can't. I just can't. This winter is going to kill me.
These are one of my favorite cookies. But they're my favorite, because my cousins Russian grandmother (off the boat 65 years ago, twin babies and not a penny to her name) used to make them for every family function and the memories of them are very warm and dear to my heart. She wasn't my grandmother, but she was much like it, and such a sweet, amazing woman. Who always fed me more than I could eat, apparently that's the Russian way

I never knew her recipe, and every time I make these, they don't taste like hers. I've yet to find "the" recipe she used. I think it died with her, many years ago.
