Oh, those poor Ingalls girls...

I think that The Mom is the best mediator around. I hear that she'll do marriage counseling for reservations at Le Cellier.
"Those Red Sox" are slowly climbing out of the basement in the AL East. As usual, my hopes are being tantalized and I'm considering the prospect of buying tickets to Boston and Fenway. Sad, I know. Now, concerning the rabbis...

I see...

The "mediator" summed it up well, but I also wanted to point out that there are labels on this area of the forum that clearly differentiate it from the rest.

This thread was posted in Chit-Chat. Description: "A place to continue any 'thread drift', or to post things that just don't fit anywhere else!"

Chit-Chat is a forum under the category heading "General Chat & Non-WDW Discussion".

The MODERATORS do a perfectly fine job of running the show, despite the insolence you and many others in the past have displayed.

I'd personally recommend that you don't take in anymore raccoons as pets. Rabies is unbecoming...

I understand now. I may disagree, but I understand.
I also would respectfully disagree w/ your "insolence" statement as in no way have I been disrespectful in any of my postings to anyone!

I don't believe so...

Do they have discussion forums?

Allears.net gives a lot of information.
You may respond to blogs and such, but I don't believe they have a discussion forum.

Essentially, however, you get the information that you need without some of the "rudeness" and "insolence" you receive on these type of forums.:(

I understand perfectly the role of "moderator", and can certainly respect their job. I guess I just don't feel comfortable posting here anymore.:(

I tried to have my account deleted, but I have received no response as of yet!:(

So... like I said, I guess it's time to move on.:brick:

By the way...

The word is moderator.

This thread has not been closed because the OP was so bizarre that everyone ran with it - resulting in some humorous responses. It is also in Chit Chat, which is an area to discuss non Disney topics. Thread drift is tolerated a bit more in Chit Chat.

Your threads were closed because they were threads that you created to ask why other threads were closed. And those threads were closed because of the no politics (or religion, for that matter) rules. There are other topics which become heated and bring out nastiness, and those threads are also closed when needed.

If everyone could agree on what is and is not an appropriate topic for discussion, or what is or is not an acceptable way to present his/her viewpoint without being rude, insulting, or offensive, we wouldn't need any moderators.

You have not posted anything which has crossed the line into "bannable" behavior, and are more than welcome to post.

I believe that you know this already, but I'd like to point out the the definition of "moderator" is : one that arbitrates or MEDIATES.

Hence the word "mediator". If you look @ my post more closely, I used both words.:fork:

So stop posting and simply leave, if that's your wish. I'm sure Steve, who is both the owner and a moderator (another meaning of which is "someone who presides over a debate or discussion") can take care of your account. No need to define people's roles or a long goodbye....

...and if you look up the word "insolent" I'm sure you'll find that using the "evil fork" smiley to a well-respected moderator would qualify as insolent behavior.

I am sorry that you think of it that way.

...and if you look up the word "insolent" I'm sure you'll find that using the "evil fork" smiley to a well-respected moderator would qualify as insolent behavior.

I use smiles of all kinds for just about any reason.:dazzle: That is my personality, and I do not feel that using the smile/evil fork is disrespectful! :(Maybe you took it the wrong way, but by no means was I trying to be disrespectful. I was trying to defend my position, which is what forums are for!
So... if I offended anyone by the use of that smile, I apologize. :o I understand she is "well-respected", and I was not trying to be "insolent".:drevil:

I am not a rude/disrespectful person, especially as compared to some others on this forum! I disagree w/ that remark, and so as to be maybe a bit "funny" or "playful" or whatever word/synonym you'd like to use for my use of this smile...:fork:

Please forgive my "evil" behavior in using that smile. I just couldn't help myself!:ROFLOL:

I was responding to the question about allears.net, and I felt compelled to add a few extras! Yes- I do know the meanings of the word "moderator".

I will email STEVE.

I was not trying to define peoples' roles, I was simply stating a fact and responding to another post. I know everyon thinks THE MOM is a great moderator, and perhaps she is, but everyone is entitled to an opinion. Otherwise, why have these forums?:veryconfu

I was also not trying to give a "long goodbye".

 luckily this one doesn't occur too often!

Chill out! :D :p ;)

Thanks for "calming me down".
I guess I am being a bit hot-headed! Sorry!:o

I'm glad that was cleared up....

All evidence to the contrary......
