I still have no ides what that has to do with brand.

I was the one who didnt configured this thing...its brand new.
Fewer updates...always a manual update with Apple products...but they'll still use up your data in other ways.

Still prefer Windows products (minus the phones; I'll stick with my iPod and Android phone). I love my iPod and would probably like the iPad, but my Surface is what I need for school. Macs just confuse me.

We must be riding the same telepathic thought waves or something because I was about to write exactly what you just wrote here in response to Cesar!

the updates are automatic in windows by default, which is what wasted the mbs.
In iOS 7, you can set it to do software updates automatically (not OS updates). If you set this to on, it defaults to downloading the updates only on wi-fi networks. You can set this to download on cellular and wi-fi as well.

There is also a background app refresh setting that you can turn off. This is what apps use to download information when not in use, such as news, for example, for news apps. Turning this setting off can save a lot of bandwidth data usage.

well, the difference is, surface pro 3 is a full tablet/laptop combo with full windows OS. not a tablet/phone.

It was a beautiful weekend over here - hope you all had likewise. Saturday we ran a Horse Fun Show to benefit the Alzheimer's Foundation and Sunday was spent doing building repairs and painting around the farm. It sounds like it will still be nice today and tomorrow, but then the storms are supposed to roll in tomorrow night. They are projecting temps in the 50's for highs and in the 40's for lows for the end of the week. Does this mean that @JenniferS will see freezing temps this week? I hope not, it's too early for that! I sure could use a couple more weekends in the 70's to finish my outdoor carpentry and painting projects...

Today 70's, possible rain early am tomorrow and 80 rain all day Wednesday with temps in 60's for 3 days and 40's over night. It is freak'n September. :cautious: 70's for the weekend and the following week....or so the say.

I have so many outside projects to complete. I have painting and concrete staining to do. Asphalt part of the driveway may or may not get sealed this year. They say 2 years and I did it last year but all the snow took a toll.
A big mistake years ago was not concreting the whole dang thing verse just the very front of the property.

Yes, I seriously did. It was the last night of vacation, and that was my senior year of high school and I had no idea where I was going to college. I didn't know when I would be back. So I opted to go to MK with my brother and DVR the game. I don't regret it. At all. Pretty simple actually: I like Disney more than the Ravens. Now if the Orioles were in the World Series and I was down there, it might be a different story.

Back when my kids were younger we left my DH and DS in the ESPN bar for the possible final game, which it was for the Bulls Championship game (where people kept trying to steal their stools when one or the other went to use the facilities) and my DD and I went to the MK. I'm not sitting in a room for hours watching TV while at Disney.

Now if the Cubs so happened to make it to the series it would be a flip of the coin or I might come back for the last innings if they were winning or it was close.

I used to have every color of "hair mascara" they made. My big puff in the front was always a different color. It was, of course, the 80s and I was, of course, in junior high.

When I read big Puff, I immediately went to the 80's. My hair can get big enough on its own with humidity and it is long. Boy did I have BIG hair in the 80's, photo's are so funny.

I never did color to my hair. It has browns, reds and blondes in it naturally, so I don't mess with the natural highlighting.

It was awful so I quit but found a temporary job until another office job opens up for me. No need to really go into how bad it was, but it was really... Really not a safe place to work. I'm disappointed that it didn't work out and I left my job for it, but I wouldn't have known if I didn't try.

The current job is ok, it'll pay the bills, but it's just not what I want to do, lol :)

Oh my goodness, I am sorry to hear that. Meanwhile, I am amazed at how quickly you found another (interim) job to pay your bills. You're amazing!! I hope you find something more to your liking very soon; we're all rooting for you!

What a nice gesture that was to have that Horse Fun Show to benefit the Alzheimer's Foundation. I'm sure many people appreciated your kind efforts. (My own father passed away from Alzheimers years ago. So that is why your post was particularly touching to me.)

@Cesar R M , your photographs are outstanding. The scenery is breathtaking, and the pictures of the animals are great. I especially love the eagle pictures. I saw an eagle up close one time, and they are magnificent raptors, with striking good looks. Anyway, we're happy you enjoyed your wonderful trip to Alaska, and we missed you. Can't wait to hear and see more about the trip, once you get a chance after you're returned home and settled back in.
