Yesterday, the actions of a few here, hurt the feelings of many.

Well, that's not how I play. Or who I play with.

I'll be taking a day or two vacation from here.
Nothing permanent, just a day or two to clear my plate, and figure out what went wrong.
(Actually, I know exactly what went wrong, I just have to decide if I want to continue to be a part of it.)

I'm sorry to see that there have been a lot of hurt feelings on this thraed in the past few weeks. It was such a fun and happy place to come and hang out. I hope that everyone will soon return and it will revert back to what it once was.....

You have oodles of buddies here that look forward to your posts. But, we will try to be gracious and patiently wait for your return, after you take a few days off and feel better. Hopefully, you won't be gone too long, because remember that @Goofyernmost will just be beside himself, if his favorite Canadian isn't here for him to tease! You always return his funny comments better than anyone, and sometimes you and he are like a comedy skit!

I had to take 24 hours last weekend, others had to last week also, taking a breath is important. Jen had a bad family day yesterday, as you all know I had 3 family members killed in a car accident, just a bad personal day.

As last night was unfolding, thread names changing and changing again my head began to pound worse than it did when I got that awful call from my Mom yesterday.

I just keep telling myself we agreed to a TRUCE and we were TOLD there would be a truce. The white flag went up.
I'm going to try and stick with that and move forward. So as members are unliking countless posts they liked over the past year or so, I have to let that go. I might not understand unliking vast amounts of posts but that has to be fine. We are here for laughter and we are here for each other when we need to be picked up by our bootstraps.

As @Cesar R M stated this afternoon, Such Silence. It can be a good thing. Go for it @JenniferS take all the time you need. When you come back we will be here for ya.

Odd thought when watching Hunchback last night. Do you think Les Miserables could be made into a cleansed animated movie like they basically did with Hunchback (which is still rather dark)? The music is very profound and perfect for Disney's formula. Some tweaks here and there in lyrics by Alan Menken and some major tweaks in plot would do it, I think.

Odd thought when watching Hunchback last night. Do you think Les Miserables could be made into a cleansed animated movie like they basically did with Hunchback (which is still rather dark)? The music is very profound and perfect for Disney's formula. Some tweaks here and there in lyrics by Alan Menken and some major tweaks in plot would do it, I think.

Although I suppose many stories could be adapted to some sort of animated movies, I hope they don't do it with this one. Please note this is just my opinion only, but both Hunchback and Les Miserables are supposed to be "dark" and there are just certain stories that I prefer not be toned down. I chose not to see the animated version of Hunchback; but perhaps I am in the minority.

This reminds me that I ate at Famous Dave's for the first time recently. We ordered the big platter that had brisket, ribs, pulled pork, a half chicken, cornbread, baked beans, cole slaw, corn on the cob, steak fries and Texas toast. It said "for 2-3 people" but 4 of us shared fine with leftovers.

I've always heard good things about Famous Dave's. Would love to try it some day.
There's really good BBQ in so many areas of this country, and I'm darn OK with that...!

My left foot is dead—no feeling. My 56-pound dog is laying on top of it, which has cut off my circulation there; because he thinks that laying on my foot will stop the thunder outside.
