Yes, Grumpy Cat has other things to do besides stand in for the young prince (which she is not happy about by the way).

In other news, there was a terrible thunderstorm here tonight, and we were waiting under the entrance to Pirates (which was down) and all of the sudden I see this flash of lightning and the thunder follows right afterward with a loud BOOM! And then the storm stopped and we found out the lightning kmocked out something because a bunch of rides all went down, including Buzz, Stitch, Monsters Inc. and People Mover.

I have heard some thunderstorms in Florida, no doubt. But last night, right after I closed my blinds (so the house was pretty dark), I heard the loudest crash (no other word for it) of lightning and the whole house was lit up. It had to be right outside. I pulled the blinds back to see if there were remnants and saw my neighbor looking out, too.

Then the loudest, longest, rolling thunder, powerful roars rolling over other roars, swallowing them up.

Never heard anything so loud. I irrationally wondered if noise could collapse a roof.

And then it was over and I ran to Publix for cat food. :)

We were on the Peoplemover when it happened. Scared the crap out of us. :arghh:

Yes but we were right by the exit and the ride vehicle doors were open so they let us walk down the ramp. People behind us were left on, probably the CMs thought it would reboot quickly? I lost track of how long they sat there (was fascinated by the flooding in front of us) but eventually they evacuated the ride.

We once had a lightning strike next to the house (in MD). It sent the downspout extension flying, left a burn in the grass, and fried the intercom system.

That storm last night was epic. A few miles away from my old school lightning hit a house and put a huge hole in the roof. Poor people can't stay in the house until it's fixed.

One day closer to Christmas anyway....

I'm already scouting decorations, and playing Michael Buble's Xmas Pandora channel at least once a week. Did I mention that I like Christmas? And Buble? And especially Buble's wife?
