I don't think Disney is too concerned with date rape drugs. They're more concerned with damage to their arcades, which is what the policy is trying to prevent. The policy is for no food or drink inside the arcade, and whether someone agrees with it or not, that's the rule. If you don't want to finish or dump it, then you have to abide by Disney's policy. The other option is to leave, which is what was chosen in this case.

Turning a blind eye to other rules doesn't really matter, either. Just because one rule is broken, doesn't mean it's okay to break another one.
It was still poor advice from the CM to put it down. And the other CM very clearly saw it later and had no problem with it.

Creepity. Such a dangerous policy for a guy to even suggest. It is pounded into girls heads from young never ever take your eyes off your drink and don't leave it with a guy. I'm sure that 'leave it here' is a much larger breach in rules than a guest carrying a beverage in an arcade. Those lids stay on pretty darn well too. I had one atop my truck, I pulled out with it on the roof it hit the driveway and didn't pop.
Uh huh. When I told my mom what happened, she wasn't too happy about him asking me that. If it happens again, I'll get his name. Sometimes I feel like I have to pry the mug open. Besides, we always alternate playing and holding the drink. If I'm alone, I don't have it. Never put it down unless it's empty.

I highly doubt the CM was thinking along the lines of date rape drugs. I know if I was in the situation that thought wouldn't have come to my mind. You can't really blame him for that.

And as I've said a couple times before, different CMs act differently. You just happened to get one man who enforced the rule.

You can choose to contact management about the issue, but in my opinion it's not going to do anything except get one CM in trouble for doing his job. I doubt he had any bad intentions, and I doubt date rape ever crossed his mind. Just my two cents.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
That was differrent. You handed it to a woman.
I would have handed it over to a dude too.
If I'd had any misgivings (which, given the locale, I clearly did not), I could have chosen to either finish my coffee before entering the funeral home, or tipped it.

Just because you are responsible and not likely to spill, doesn't mean the hordes of 7 & 8 year olds that frequent the arcade are equally careful. Why can one person break the rules, while others may not? That CM has no way of identifying how careful you are. Everybody drops things, spills things, knocks them over .... Not just the klutzes.

Sorry Sunshine, I'm still on the side of "finish it or tip it", before entering; which eliminates any possibility of your beverage being interfered with.

I'm a bull shark!

You got: Bull Shark
You’re completely and utterly fearless, and aren’t scared of swimming into uncharted waters other sharks would shy away from — like the Mississippi River! Fish fear you, and other sharks want to be you. You’re basically the (censored!) of the sea!

Since everyone is so worked up over the whole cup/arcade thing....I'm putting in my two cents. The sign "No drinks /food" is there for a reason. On our last stay at POP we saw spilled drinks take out TWO games in the arcade, air hockey and a pinball machine both that went ZAPPP and kapoot.

Now on the the DRD, seriously at WDW you would have to put yourself in a situation where it would be any advantage for the doper and they'd literally have to stalk you because it is not an instant knockout. I doubt a doper at WDW would waste their "product" on a random chance it probably won't work. The odds are greater of a creep grabbing a woman alone from their resort door and pulling them inside their room.

FWIW, having things slipped into a drink is NOT exclusive to girls. I had a good friend slipped something in his drink at a concert and he wound up sleeping the whole show. If it comes down to an issue of leaving a mug, I'll chug the contents, leave the empty mug, then wash it out after picking it back up. Heck, it's free refills. Anyways, my two cents.

EDIT:And there's women that slip stuff into women's drinks and the same with men and men. It's a big world out there.

You’re big and beautiful, and the rest of the ocean knows better than to mess with you. But you’re also one-of-a-kind, and not like other sharks. And it’s not just because you’re the largest fish in the sea — but that doesn’t hurt, either!

I wasn't going to bring the gender thing up, but I completely agree. Men get a bad wrap for that kind of stuff, when in reality both genders are guilty of it. And it's really a small percentage of either gender that does it, so singling either out is pointless.

I just wanted to share this quiz because one question is all about Busey.

http://www.buzzfeed.com/perpetua/can-we-guess-your-darkest-secret

And it's false, I have seen Mean Girls.

You got: You’ve never seen Mean Girls
You do your best to make it seem like you’ve seen it, like a normal person. But you know better. Sometimes people see through your deception, like when you see a GIF of Lindsay Lohan in the movie, and go “Oh, I love Emma Stone.”

I don't have his name, but if he did it again, I will quietly say he shouldn't suggest that to a woman. And if he gets persistant, then complain. He was condescending and rude about it.

Well, I disagree. I also didn't like the way he treated me. I am 19, not 9, and I'd like a CM to talk to me, not down to me. Later the CM said nothing about it even though my mug was very clearly there at the table. They don't say anything about refillables on buses, attractions, or shops when they will ask you to get rid of other drinks, so I fail to see why this CM made an issue of it.
