...and all caught up.

@PUSH it was SOOOOO nice to hear Al Michaels' voice last night. I watched the first 2 quarters and kept the TV on for the second half while I played games on my phone. Hubby fell asleep at 8:00 (he went shark fishing yesterday - caught 5 but none keepers - he was lucky there wasn't a twister).
The best part of the Hall of Fame game is the sounds. Al Michaels, the little NFL theme song, and whatnot. I had it on all the time while on my laptop browsing the internet.

Lets have a field trip to the Louvre in Paris, guess the place is infested with rats, caretakers blame tourists and ecofriendly rat bait. :cautious:

The Canadian and Brooklyn hipster wardrobes are strangely similar.

I am going likely forever laugh at the word hipster. My pompous BIL was in a few weekends ago with my Sis and her DD and he was condescendingly explaining to us what a hipster was, they had just spent the weekend in DTChicago.
My sister tries for the Hipster Look but shouldn't, her DD is 17, she comes off as flaky vs keeping with the times.

Anyhow I explained to him that Hipster is just being recycled and how it was being dug up again and revitalized after its run in the 40's. He took issue with me closing his eyes and sighing, as he pretentiously tried to educate me even though you can tell he thought I was hopelessly clueless. I told him to flip open his iPad and Google Jazz Hipster 40's. He started to read it out loud arrogantly and then the reading became less snotty and softer. He tried to regroup about our current Hipsters but there was no recovery for the twerp. I had so much fun with that.

Working with the public is an "experience" . . .

Having worked a number of jobs that were "front line" with the public, I honestly believe that everyone should have a job like that, just once. If you ever want to see how dysfunctional people behave (and that's a larger percentage of the population than one would think), there is no better "education" than to witness it first-hand!! :banghead:

Yep, it sure is an "experience"...
The 4+ years I spent in retail before the firm hired me back full time was one good learning experience, for sure. And, it was not only dealing with Guests, but, with co-workers, as well.
Especially when you're in a management position.

Most coworkers and managers here get along. The only ones I've seen not get along is the ladies who work the service desk... it's like high school all over again with the drama and talking about each other behind backs.

Exactly. Some of the back-biting was just amazing. I, honestly, got along with everyone well, especially as time went by and they knew I was the real deal, thus leading to the management position that I was told I would have actually been offered sooner, but, it was thought I wouldn't take 'cause I would bolt as soon as I got an offer to go back into architecture (which was true). When that didn't happen for a coupla' years, all they had to do was ask.
Anyway, my experience has been that retail is usually just crazy all the way around...

you really need to replace that thing before it finally bursts in your hands.
Pretty sure you can use one of these "back to school" deals with finance and stuff to get a proper laptop.

Still wanting to get it to son-in-law for a look to see if it's some simple little fix or if it needs to be given last rites.
Likely the latter, but, it's worth a shot, anyway.
Won't need to finance, but, we'll definitely be lookin' for deals. :)

Thanks, me too and a good sized cup that keeps coffee warmer longer. I also like the black and white one with tiny clips of Mickey cartoons on left and in the middle, the one with Mickey's feet near the wooden bar, that is a Mickey-Chicago mug. He is blowing sideways holding on in the Windy City. Minnie is cute too. Next up I want the new Magic Kingdom mugs. There is one for each land.

And I am a fan of the Animal Kingdom Tree cup too

falling branches not included

Lovin' both of those, too! :)

So, how much extra are the falling branches and the netting to cover the opening...? o_O ;)

Meanwhile I'm trying to get adopted by @donaldtoo just because it sounds like his place is well stocked with beer.

I'm the only beer drinker allowed to reside in our home. I've roomed with plenty of beer drinkers before. As soon as the beer crosses the threshold of the door, the unwritten law that it is now everyone who resides (and/or crashes) there's property, no matter how many times they haven't paid or chipped in for it, kicks in.
One of the criteria for me when choosing a wife was, specifically, that she would not be a beer drinker. That would at least give our kiddos a 50/50 shot at not bein' beer drinkers, either. So far anyway, this "gamble" seems to have paid off. DWifey still doesn't like beer, and neither do any of the kiddos.
Sorry, dude.

:arghh::bawling::cry:

I buy some Corona or Landshark just so my girlfriend doesn't consider going after my beer stash. That or I get a dark or IPA, which she doesn't like.
